    In-Game Instructions
Post as many of these as you like. First, simply post what time or score you'd like me to make the change at, i.e.

    xxth Minute

    OR

    Leading By Three Or More
    Leading By Two
    Leading By One
    Drawing
    Behind By One
    Behind By Two
    Behind By Three Or More

Followed by the old setting you want to change in Green and the new one in Red
    e.g.
    ST Fernando Torres
    SUB Hernan Crespo

    LB Phillip Lahm
    LWB Phillip Lahm

    Mentality 4
    Menatlity -6

I'll do these where possible, but the normal rules apply and I can't bring someone back on if you're suddenly behind by 1 after leading by 2.

Anybody who has any questions let me know, and I'm also open to advice about how to structure it better, particularly from those who have FM experience.

I'll also be putting up a simplified template for people who don't want to worry about tactics as much and just enjoy the sim.

  4. Eds E Ames

Optional Tactics is a very good idea, and will give some people an advantage should they choose to use it.

That is the only way you can do it, I think.

    Position (Attacking Position) Player

    What does this mean?

  6. Eds E Ames

Where you want them to be when you are attacking.

  7. MatthewJay TA Miokovic

So, what would my striker be?
    As an example.

  8. Speirz DG Speirs

You'd probably leave him where he is. It's generally used for things like wing-backs moving forward up the flanks, or a centre back dropping to sweep against a fast team.

Is it possible to change formations at the same time as a bringing on subs?

  10. Speirz DG Speirs

    Yeah, just do this.

    SUB ST Fernando Torres
    SUB DM Michael Essien

What's your difference between RW and RAM here?

EDIT: Other than that it's a pretty good example.

RW is further forward than RAM.

RAM is a midfield position and RW is a forwards position.

  14. Speirz DG Speirs

That's what I thought, I've just usually seen it referred to as FWR. I didn't think he'd have his forward running backwards in attack.

EDIT: And in a 4-1-2-2-1 it'd set up with an RAM and LAM. If he wanted forwards it'd be a 4-1-2-3

on attack I want Iniesta to leave his wing and play in behind Ibrahimovic with Gerrard.

    Picture example

    On defence

    LB.......CB.....CB.....RB
    ..............CDM
    ..........CM.....CM
    LW.......................RW
    ..............CF

    On attack

    .........CB....CB
    ............CDM
    LM.........CM..........RM
    LW....CAM...RAM
    .............CF

ORLY? I always thought RW was a wide running AM?

  17. Speirz DG Speirs

Guessing I'll probably have to post up a position list, given how everyone has different names for them. Think there's something like 6 lines in FM with 5 spots along each.

  18. Speirz DG Speirs

Depends entirely on how you've been coached. In footballing terms, wing just means up and down the sidelines. I've heard RW referring to right backs, mids and forwards.

  19. Speirz DG Speirs

    --------------------GK--------------------

    SWR-----SWRC----SWC----SWLC------SWL

    RB-------RCB-------CB------LCB---------LB

    RWB-----RCDM----CDM----LCDM-------LWB

    RM------RCM-------CM------LCM-------LM

    RAM----RCAM------CAM-----LCAM------LAM

    FWR------RS--------ST-------LS-------FWL

Those are all the spots you can have someone playing in or attacking from. Use those terms and there will be no mix-ups.

It is telling me that my line-up has too many images. Is it because I'm copying and pasting off word?
