Does anyone know how or why my ipod touch wont connect to my wireless internet. It finds my router and asks for the password thingo which i punch in but then it says unable to join the network "bigpond 6cfblah blah".

Go into your modem on your computer and give it permission. You will need the iPod's MAC number.

It's the device's unique identification code. I'm not sure where it is on the iPod, but is should be on the back somewhere. It'll be a long number, and it should say MAC next to it. I had to do this for my Xbox Wireless internet, so I'm guessing it'll be the same.

Never had this problem. Had the problem when I was getting the password wrong at someone elses place (it said unable to connect to, not password incorrect) so make sure you're not ****ing up the password.

    Otherwise, google is your friend.

My Ipod connects fine to my router as does my PS3......

    SUCK IT.

Nah Mousey is right...it finds the router in range but your router is blocking it.

If your Wi-Fi network uses MAC address filtering, you will need to add the MAC address to the access list for the Wi-Fi router. The MAC address for your device is listed as the Wi-Fi address in Settings > General > About.

That's only if your router uses filtering if not then it may be another problem.
