What are songs by bands you love you consider below average or just plain shit?? I love Morbid Angel but this has to be the worst fucking song they ever did lol <object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/W6ZVMQayzng?version=3&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/W6ZVMQayzng?version=3&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Metallica came up with some pretty shit ones. The Unnamed Feeling was a mess, most of St Anger was to be fair. Some songs on Megadeths Risk album were just awful, Prince of Darkness being one of them.
St Anger was a more personal album than any other they did so i think some of that was how shall i say, not what people where expecting, but if it wasnt metallica who wrote them they might actually have been good songs, if you get what i mean
The album I hated because of the bad production, the drums were atrocious, the lack of solos pissed me off a lot, not as much as Lars deciding to turn the snare off on the drums though.
I thought Bec Cartwright really let herself down with the song 'All seats taken'. Was a good album outside of that one blemish which, incidentally, was the release single to the album.
It was defiantly a rushed album but that was always going to happen with what went on around the making of it, but what did you make of death magnetic
I wouldn't say St Anger was rushed, they had 3 years to make it lol thats what brought about so much backlash too. Death Magnetic was much much better, better sound, the fact the solos got played, a much heavier album and return to form.
The things is in those 3 years Metallica pretty much dint exist for parts of it as im sure you know, so it was never gunna be great. And i completly agree with magnetic.
With James rejuvenated from his re-hab you would think they would have been inspired enough to have made it with a bit more aggression they intended, to me the drums without the snare took a lot of the edge off the music. Also gotta mention Children of Bodoms Blooddrunk album, such an average album when you look at what brilliance they had with their early stuff.
Thats very true with james but its like when they went all creative in the 90's James obviously got it all out by shouting at Lars lol
It's just not a Green Day song. Was overplayed to the max when released and it reminds me of Seinfeld everytime I hear it (which I was never a fan of)
What do you mean it wasn't a Green Day song? I think it's important for Bands to play different kinds of music.
Not always, sometimes experiments can alienate fans, experimenting with bands is good but it always has that potential to be really crap. Not all bands have to play different styles anyway, some are really good when they don't make stylistic changes.
Nah, experimentation is essential for any 'good band.' Tbh, I would much rather listen to a band that is subtle enough to play softer acoustic music as well as the 'edgier' and 'harder' stuff compared to a band that can could just play one. It was only one song from the band. It's a good song tbh, just was overplayed so much at the time.
