    POWER RANKINGS
    The Genuine Contenders
    1. Tigers (4-0)
The Tigers began the season at the top of the power rankings and retain their place due to a perfect first quarter of the season. Beginning with a long road trip, the Tigers also started their home season with a win to round out their 4-0 record. While their opponents have been lacluster (a combined win-loss record of 2-14 between them), the best team on paper is yet to put a foot wrong and retains their 1st place ranking.

    2. Hammerheads (4-0)
Even after losing All-Star center Ishan Narang to retirement, the Hammerheads have also worked their way to an unbeaten 4-0 record. Alistair Son has returned to his S4 MVP best, seemingly an even better playmaker than he was, and the emergence of Reagan Wheelson and Jonny Ridd as perimter threats has helped Chris Warrington fill Narang's shoes. Even Ginger Furball has contibuted, he's been playing like a 6th Man of the Season candidate.

    3. Moustaches (4-0)
S6 was looking even more glum than their horrendous S5 until the recruiting coup of Donald Boland was completed. Boland has transformed this 1-11 team to a 4-0 contender, with help from fellow FA aquisition Luke Lukic. The extra depth has taken the pressure off of Gareth Weaver and James Torres, who look reinvigorated. They've become a team to fear.

    4. Parrots (3-1)
A team that should really be 4-0. After throwing away their last game at the Pandas, the Parrots fall to 4th in our power rankings. The squad is still strong, but inconsistent offensive performances from reigning MVP Charlie Downes has lead to some debating the fit of this pairing. The court seems awfully crowded late in games.

    5. Hurricanes (3-1)
It's safe to say Cambo/Dyer is working. First hurdle down. The next? Finding consistent bench play, because the starting five are probably as talented as any. LeBron Ames is starting to become the superstar his team needs him to be.

    In The Race
    6. Mustangs (2-2)
Probably stiff to be down at 6, but it's too hard to rank them above either of our 3-1 teams because of the talent they boast. The 'Stangs have lost their previous two, but they were to the two teams sitting above them in these rankings to less than 5 each. They're for real.

    7. Colts (1-3)
The first of our two major disappointments from Conference B. The tough conference has this squad reeling. Boshtrich Burger looks in over his head in a starting roll, Diggler is struggling with his jumpshot and Vimes is lacking the form that earned him a starting spot last season.

    8. Pandas (1-3)
The Pandas are the other disappointing team, even after a stiring R4 win. Hopefully the win can turns things around for this squad because right now Lucas Schaw is the only starter playing up to his standard. Shooting has been an issue all season for this team, with team numbers of 42% FG, 31% 3PT, 76% FT. Not pretty.

    Count Them Out
    9. Sabres (1-3)
Their form fluctuates like no other in the competition, which is not good for a team with limited talent. At times they're switch on and compete, other times they're off the ball and flopping awfully.

    10. Ocelots (0-4)
The S5 champions are a shell of their former selves. The loss of Downes has left a big hole in the scoring department. Luke Tyson has stepped up a bit, but it's clear that the go-to scorer role is not his forte - his shooting percnatages are way down and his usage rate has skyrocketed. They need a big trade or off-season signing.

    11. Polar Bears (1-3*)
Even after a massive win over the Seahawks and a tough loss to the Seahawks, the Polar Bears find themselves at 11th due to a severe lack of talent. Force - a former role player - is, by far, their best player and Regan Hutchinson's recent form cannont last forever - especially with his training habits. They're still on the board though, more than we can say for...

    12. Seahawks (0-4)
After being humiliated by the 11th team on this list there's nowhere else to put these Seahawks. After a spectacular S5 that saw them surprise the experts and make the playoffs, they're winless and hopeless. This could be BasketballSim's first 0 win team if they don't sign some players soon.

    MVP LEADERBOARD
    The Top 5
    1. Brett Hall [Tigers] - 10
    20.0ppg, 17.0rpg, 3.3bpg
Brett Hall leads the MVP race, polling 10 of 12 possible votes. He's been enormous on both ends all season and plays on the best team in the competition. Votes stealing is a worry, but he'll always been a chance to poll.

    2. Alistair Son [Hammerheads] - 9
    27.5ppg, 10.8apg, 1.3spg
The scoring wiz has added elite passing to his repertoire this season. Equipped with elite defensive skills too, this guy is also an automatic to poll if his team gets up.

    3. Gareth Weaver [Moustaches] - 8
    17.8ppg, 13.5rpg, 4.3apg
A renaissance season for Weaver. Adding Boland has allowed him to be freed up and not have constant double teams. He's reaping the rewards. Still has room to grow with his jumper a step behind it's usual level right now.

    3. Jono Chewie [Parrots] - 8
    14.3ppg, 12.3rpg, 4.3bpg
A lock for Defensive Player of the Season right now, Chewie has been everywhere. His 4.3 blocks a game lead the league, and he's also hitting 65% of his shots. As valuable as they come.

    5. Charlie Downes [Parrots] - 7
    22.0ppg, 16.8rpg, 2.3spg
His inside game is a little down with two genuine post threats occupying his space, but his jumper improved enough last season that he's a legitimate threat out there too now, and he's using it well. His perimeter defence has also been superb.

    Just Behind
    6. Raptor Vince [Mustangs] - 6
    15.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 4.0bpg

    6. Donald Boland [Moustaches] - 6
    32.8ppg, 5.8apg, 57% FG

    6. Steven Cambridge [Hurricanes] - 6
    18.8ppg, 11.5apg, 4.5spg

    6. Siege Morgan [Tigers] - 6
    22.8ppg, 10.8rpg, 3.8spg

    6. Bruce Force [Polar Bears] - 6
    20.0ppg, 12.0rpg, 1.8bpg

At least the Hammers are still going strong and Son is giving a damn good case for S6 MVP. Going to be a good season ahead. :toot:
