Ouch, bit of a smashing. The fact that I scored the most points for the Cougars is a bit strange given I'm a 6'4 guy who's weak at jumpshooting. Maybe I don't really understand basketball though.
Haven't decided whether I'll continue with them this season. They were a bit of a pain and everyone was an expert telling me there were wrong
Problem with just looking at stats in any sport is that you can't be certain why a certain stat line is the way it is. Did player A just not get the ball very often to not take any shots in the whole game or did his defender B shut him out so much that he couldn't take clean shots? Defender B may not have made any blocks or steals, but maybe he was so effective his marked player couldn't even touch the ball.
Oh of course, but it became a tedious process when all that was posted afterward was "oh, I thought I deserved a 9, not an 8.5", "he got a 9, why didn't I get the same?".
Nope, they were my ratings based on what I saw while simming as I could judge defence, see who matched up on who when they dominated etc. I think in S4ish I had autmatically generated fantasy points in there, but that was misleading.
I see. And there would be chance of getting it implemented so it spits it out automatically? Thinking about it, that seems quite difficult.
Not an ideal start. Seems Morgie had a lot of the ball in his hands but given that he grabbed nearly a third of our rebounds he probably wanted it the most too.
It's probably really easy to just plug the stat line into Excel (if Mousey doesn't already take the stats from it) and have a formula that calculates a rating based on the stats but again, it's really difficult doing a fair comparison based on stats
Not an encouraging start really. You're shot success rate was pretty bad, but you had about twice as many shots as anyone else. As Shagger said, you did more to get it than anyone else though, which probably is a bit weird given your height.
