Great night. Backed Canberra and cashed out when they were up 18-0. Then backed Manly and cashed out at halftime and reinvested it into them scoring more than 6 tries @ $4

Going to back Newcastle with the 8.5 point start

Can you believe Souths were paying $2.41 to score more than 2 tries? Easy money

Yeh that is ridiculous, Cowboys are probably the worst top 8 defensive side too.

I had Panthers +7.5 into Under 38.5 points. Those last 5 minutes were fucking torturous. I thought for sure they would fuck me over and cost me my bet.

Souffs at 2.05 is pretty juicy for tonight.

For quite a while, as some of you know, I was backing massive shorts with fairly large sums (several thousand per). That worked really well for me (won about 30 bets straight) but I know my luck can only go so far. So I'm going for the conventional approach. Mainly handicapping but obviously expanding to other markets when I find value. I have about 25k in the bank atm and basically I'm going to being wagering 3-5% of that bankroll per bet. My forte, or rather, the sport I know best is obviously rugby league.

Any tips from people who've done this or similar systems, or even just regular punters, would be interesting. The reason I'm altering my tact is because I find the NRL just too volatile; the upset rate and the incidence of favourites losing just seems disproportionately high as compared with other sports. So yeah...Should be an interesting season.

    Thanks for your input.

Roosters $2.95 to miss the 8 a decent bet

Parra to make the 8 at $2 is fair also, Raiders $2.15 to make 8 solid also IMO

Over $2 for the Raiders is high. They have a very improved side, and a bullshit good draw.

We had a similar draw last year and look what happened. We have improved the side although Stuart has gone backrower happy again and we are thin in the props department. If we lose either Boyd or Vaughan for long periods we are done.

Yeah but that spine is gun. Hodgson is hugely underrated because he isn't in Sydney or Brisbane and due to him being a Pom and Sezer Austin and Wighton are 3 of the best young emerging talents in the comp. Think you guys will do fine, especially if you pick up Junior Paulo as speculated. Jeff Lima is a fg quality option and you will use Papaali through the centre at stages anyway so I'm not as fazed by the prop depth given the changes to interchanges. Fensom gives you a real ace in terms of forward rotation, providing you get him back to fitness early enough

Cbf waiting all season for your bet to come through

This. I hate waiting more than a week or 2.

the short priced odds system works best.

    other shit:

Betting on the line and looking at historical trends of certain coaches - for example Ricky Stuart teams could be strong coming off a short-turn around so you could get good value backing them on short turnarounds.
Looking at specific psychological trends - teams getting pumped the week before, teams coming off golden point/last minute wins/losses, huge win the week before. They could have an inflated/deflated price the next week and represent good value.

bet on all of the outsiders for the first 5 rounds

William Hill doing a special where if you bet on the winning team tonight you get a dollar for every point they win by upto your original bet. Sportsbet doing a special for the Eels to win and score atleast 1 try paying $4.

Get on the Broncos on William Hill and the Eels on Sportsbet and you can't lose.

What are the odds of the Eels winning and not scoring a try?

  19. Wilson SB Wilson

    $2.55 or some shit

Got that a tad wrong btw. It's not how many points they win by just how many points they score in general you get a dollar for. Even better
