Dawes J. Hogan L. Neale A. Siposs Tactics: - Henderson to #1, Rance #2, Jonas to take resting ruck. If mismatch occurs move Watts back - Reilly to 1st small, Jonas to take 2nd small if not on 3rd tall otherwise Laird to. - Sub Grigg in for one the weakest players which fits into the roation - Mitchell, Rockliff and to a lesser extent Fyfe form a forward rotation - Wright #1 tagger if someone gets loose and Wright isn't dominating forward. Reilly #2 tagger - Westhoff, Thompson and Daniher to form a ruck relief. Thompson to do it if he isn't needed down back/Henderson or Watts to cover, if he is then whichever of the Hoff and Daniher are doing worse fwd. Naitanui to ruck as much as possible though - Send Watts into the middle if a spark is needed - If leaking/the match situation seems like it requires it move Watts into a loose man. If he struggles use Rance - Swallow to run loose.
I guess that's what happens when you mix a very tall and exceptional attack with a defence with only one bloke over 190cm and that bloke isn't even a KPD. And then at the other end mixing the best group of small forwards with a bunch of unaccountable rebounding defenders and the best KPD of the group is injured.
CPL MVP: 5 - Nat Fyfe: Absolutely dominated early before Jackson shut him down. Still, 22 touches, 9 marks and 4 goals from the middle is game changing. 4 - Dustin Martin: Excelled in every area 3 - Quinten Lynch: 7 goals is 7 goals. Doesn't get higher as it was some shoddy defending and they were all pretty much around the end of q2/start of q3; drifted out of the game 2 - Luke Ball: Solid all day 1 - Tom Jonas: After Rance was absolutely smashed he moved onto Lynch as Henderson was occupied. Had already shut Wingard down and shut Lynch down too
