Hitouts to advantage.... DE% That's the game there. Let me be clear, this game was far more one sided than the scoreline suggests.
CPL MVP: 5 - Pendlebury: He was good throughout all qtrs. Used the ball well, did all the right things. 4 - Petrie: Bounced back from a shitty first quarter to absolutely tear Jamison a new one 3 - Boyd: He was good. All day 2 - Crameri: Linked up the forward line well all day 1 - Shaw: Every time Masters' fellas got it forward, he chopped it off and sent it back
This will keep happening Masters unless you can somehow unearth the following - A ruckman. Grundy's your best by a mile and Bellchambers/Jenkins is a perfectly acceptable 2nd ruck combo but Grundy still will be smashed. I've got Ryder and Jabba's got Lobbe, they're the only two great ruckmen left that aren't 1st rucks. I'd probably advise targeting Lobbe as he's not even in Bots's 22. Even Nicholls from Paul would be an improvement. - Someone who can score goals: Patton, Bellchambers and Goldsack/Jenkins is an offensive key forward line. Patton'll come good but Bellchambers is a 2nd ruck who can sit there to an ok standard and Goldsack's a utility who's not good at much apart from being versatile while Jenkins is a 25 goal a season fwd tops. None of your smalls are 25-30 goal a season smalls either. Dahlhaus and Bundy are good but they're at their best at a high half forward/running through then midfield role, not scoring goals. Just thought I'd get in before you asked.
