Loving the fact that Matthew Wright is actually playing centre oh and Jonathon Wright is on the wing. Just hoping for no Pomeroy late inclusion.

Agreed. Nicholls deserves his spot and adds some mobility to our front row. I can also see Edwards playing similar to Thurling and thriving.
If the warriors want to play Vatuvei as the "marquee" player they need to start recruiting around him. You need a player next to him who can draw and pass with some conviction aswell as show some footwork to keep the opponent guessing (ala Ropati when he wasn't completely fucked) Hurrell and Vatuvei will be a shocking combo for a few reasons a) Hurrell unless he was worked dramatically on his end game fitness he will continue to be found out like I said he would last season b) ATM imo he is a one sided player who will look to carry people on his back, he'd be perfect combined in attack with someone like a Steve Turner or a Michael Gordon, he needs a winger with relative intelligence. I can predict now what will happen on defense, centre gets on the outside of Hurrell he dives to ankle tap them Vatuvei comes in but rather then commit stands flat footed simple pass past him and then they draw and pass the fullback with the centre who was untouched
Ropati had some pretty major defensive issue when he was fit as well tbf. He got done several times in the last few games he played for the club. If the Warriors camp have any brains they would've pushed Hurrell hard during the off-season, and at least partially sorted of his fitness. It's probably never going to be great with his sort of physique, and the way he carries the ball. He's only been playing league for a couple of years though, so I'm willing to give the guy some time to improve.
Ropati was a different player over his last few seasons at the club, I was talking about when he could constantly stay healthy without having to bandage something up or do rehab for a broken bone sort of up until about 2010-2011 I thought Ropati was a real class player for the warriors, showed so when he had to played in nearly every backline position for the kiwis aswell IMO
