Chooks fans got one thing right.

I think it's ludicrous but given the precedent set, I don't see how Hodges can get off. That's a grade 1 every day of the week. Carry over points and all, he's gone.

Brisbane's left edge is their Achilles heel. It's so poor defensively. Whoever meets them in the GF will, you'd think, be running numbers at Milford and Reed all night.

That and the fact that once a team gets the ball in Brisbane's half, they seem to stop moving up in defense.

Yeah that's true. I said during the game that despite Brisbane's dominance on the scoreboard, there was plenty on offer for the Chooks. They were making bulk metres and half breaks were opening up all over the place. The Broncs were falling off or not dominating tackles all over the park. If Easts had had more patience and built pressure with last tackle options they would've produced points. Alas they played panicked football.

Yeah and I think that's why it is fair to say that we choked. That horrible start got us to instantly start playing panick football and even when we were getting ourselves back in the game, making easy yards as you said, and even after scoring two easy tries, we still played that style of football. Unfortunately, once we had that try disallowed in the 2nd half there was obviously no calming influence to get us to stick to the plan so we turned up the panick football even more. That's where someone like Hastings is far off from the mark still and where we needed Maloney to step up but he was never going to because he sucks.

That and the fact that Brisbane exposed our aweful right edge defense. I could barely remember them kicking the ball on last tackle when in our 20. Most of the time Hunt changed direction and ran it back that way and they scored easily or were barely held up.

Will be fucked if Hodgo is rubbed out. I reckon Guerra will come out in support and it helps him.

Every time Easts kicked instead of running it in our 20 i breathed a sigh of relief. Jennings and Fergo were odds on to crack us but they just didnt get it to them enough in the right zone. When they did they scored.

Well that happened pretty bloody quick. Hope he gets off though. Doesn't deserve to miss a GF because of that tackle.

So glad we played yesterday and not tonight. Been raining all day.

That about explains the game, cheers. Unfortunately I was at work and didn't get to watch live, but I was following the numbers and despite the piss poor completion rate, the Chooks weren't too far behind in metres gained, and they actually had less missed tackles iirc. I was a little confused seeing the scoreline that went along with that. Although again, that completion rate...

Spewin pretty hard there's no Sydney team left, only QLD or Storm can take it now :(

    That opening try though...

I don't think the Cowboys or the Storm right edge is anywhere near as strong in attack as the Roosters though. Reed had to decide between helping Milford cover RTS and covering Ferguson on his own. O'Neill and Chambers aren't as threatening in attack though.

  13. Harry Sack SB Slippy

    Chambers though.

  14. Alec AD Funkotron

Chambers isn't as dangerous in attack as RTS or Ferguson.

Was so pumped with Glenn and Gillett's repeat efforts last night.
That's were those blokes usually let themselves down.

    Got GF tickets last night.
Waited till 70th minute to grab em.

I was burnt in 08 when I bought them at half time.

Still was gun to see underdog win 40-0 though tbf.

Morgan is very dangerous and that try right there is your real worry. When Thurston shifts opposite side of the ruck, he is the most dangerous playmaker since Johns and Lewis. Does it for Qld all the time.
