    You'll get a random squad of 10 or 12 mons out of the first 250, and you'll form a team for a knockout battle comp.

    Not that I can see from quickly putting a team together. There's a few items and a couple of new moves available, but if I'm not using them then I doubt I'm being spoiled.

    Seems pretty decent. Can live without drizzle but there's no major drizzle abusers in this bar Omastar's Swift Swim which is banned anyway IIRC.

    As oppose to the rest of us...

    The metagame completely changes with every generation, and we're playing a very deviant version of gen II. You'll be able to tailor your team to try and fight your next opponent.

    If they've changed the rules from Gen V to VI, I'll be really unsure. I've played quite a lot of showdown a while ago and hit some alright ratings but that's about it, doesn't mean I'm particularly good.

    We definitely won't be using Gen VI stuff. In what I really want to do is limit all moves and items to Gen II - the only reason not to here is that all pokemon have to have abilities.
