Cribb doesn't want to have an Australian side. And you actually wouldn't walk into it anyway, I highly doubt you'd be picked at all.
North vs South is really meant to be that sort of match I would say. Given that "England" isn't part of CricSim though (or not just now anywat) I don't see an Ashes match happening and even if it did would be an easy victory for Australia.
You never know though. I mean on paper the NSW full strength side should rape QLD but it didn't. In fact, not only did they not subject us to non-consensual intercourse, we slipped a few roofies in their drinks and massacred them ourselves.

I think the idea is that Australia doesn't exist in CricSim. New South Wales and Queensland are just the names of two distinct provinces.
