Even with game one gifted to them they can't get near us. You just know it's going to be a skinny few years for Queensland, the talent and spirit just doesn't seem to be there.

He's played too well in the past to put that on him, dude. He's a very, very good player. Maybe im making excuses but by all accounts his sternum has been fucked for a while.

Most disappointing thing was how we responded to the Best try. Gagai misses a rudimentary cover and we honestly capitulated afterwards. Never even gave ourselves a chance in that last 15.

KP off the bench was dogshit. Felt sorry for him. It's just like throw him the ball and yeah do something cunt. The one time he looked to attack in good ball with a set backline, Grant dummies and puts in a spastic kick. That was the other thing, holy fuck our kicking game was trash. 3rd tackle kick is the worst tactical ploy from a bygone era. Works 1 in 10 at best.

DCE's little dinks reminded me of Hynes in game 1. Might as well just run it.

    Incredible series win.

Send off in the opening 10 mins in the first and only home game of the series, put together one of if not the most dominant half of footy seen at SOO to take game 2 and then hold QLD try less in a decider at Suncorp.

Got to go down as one of the best series wins of all time.

Blues winning back three goal line restarts will be forgotten but they honestly may have won them the game. Qld's were trash.

Dreadful coaching from Slater this series. A bad Sualii hit from picking 3 dog shit teams

Lomax unreal this series too. Needs to get his credit

    Ask Billy what he thinks.

    “We’re Queenslanders”

The soft, pedestrian running from Cobbo in the first half and all game from Hammer was infuriating. I dunno if he was injured but you cant run that soft in Origin.

I would also just like to thank Sportsbet for the free $200 bet.

Mmhmm. Dunno why you'd agree to coach if you cant handle people second guessing your picks. And thats bound to happen when you pick a pack lacking size, metreage and dont pick the best edge forward we have.

Nanai on after what 15 minutes? Who the fuck does that?

Going to be some very interesting selections to be made with Ben Hunt (35) & DCE (36) both potentially playing their last series.

They had Ezra Mam in camp all series, I think they’re going down the wrong path there if that’s the case.

Maguire copped shit in game 1 for not reacting quick enough but the moving of Crichton to mark Hammer was so crucial. Our left edge went from blazing to ineffectual. I couldnt pick an Australian side without him in it.

Well, back to the drawing board. Munster/Walker is the best we can do in the halves imo.

Hopgood, Fifita, Tino back in the pack. Cut out the deadwood like Capewell, she'll be right. I still cant believe that selection...fmd. This must be what it felt like when Brett White and Josh Perry got picked for NSW.

QLD just way too small and it eventually broke us. Thank fuck Carrigan had an all timer game last night or it could have been 20+ again.

Hopefully next year QLD don't have to deal with needing Nanai, Kaufusi, Capewell or Slater.

1 in a row! Do we have a dynasty on our hands?

Seriously though, great win in a tense game. After Best's try it wasn't doom and gloom, but scoring back to back like they did, that deep into the game, just buried us. Slater's brain-dead selections aside, this series exposed Queensland's lack of depth compared to the Blues I think. Especially in thier middle forwards. Or maybe not, just a fuckton of injuries really.

Yes, Angus had a good series, but they don't win without Moses. Mitch should have got the medal IMO.

As for next year? Hopefully injuries and selections are kinder... 2 full strength and healthy squads will make far a better contest.

Bring in Tino, Flegler, Munster, Fifita, and Hopgood. Possibly Fermor, Gilbert, Arrow, or Piakura if he kicks on. And the side is looking a lot better.

It's safe to assume Tino and Flegler would've been picked. How do you just throw out the formula and pick small backrowers, let alone an edge forward in their stead? Ludicrous.

There must've been 8+ sets in that first half where we made fewer than 35m in 5 tackles. It was pathetic.

2 genuine starting props, 2 genuine bench props. Why is that so hard for them to get? Maguire at least had 4 big men but then the muppet still picked Trbojevic who made about 7m in three games. Wtf are they thinking or watching?

NSW been picking back rowers to play front row for decades. Now that Mcguire's got it worked out I feel the shield is looking blue til '32

    Yehnah, that's retarded.

Blues certainly have more depth across the board, as they always have have always will have, though with everyone fit and healthy we'll be seeing some very good matches I think.
