Lol yeah I'm biased towards Walsh. What a muppet. I dont even like the guy.

Tualagi literally has created two tries for Hammer by kicking in-field in similar circumstances, one in that very game so give us a break with this 'miraculous' kicking shite. Any kick he put in wouldve been better than the one he did. Dude got a bit unlucky with the bounce as well. If it pulls up a metre from the dead ball line or on the try line, or shit even 5m, 10m out there's no way you'd be saying this crap. And the pass was on, are you blind?

I cant help it if you need to further this narrative by impugning Walsh even when he isnt at fault.

You do shit like this all the time Magic. How's your crusade against Liam Martin going? Or did you finally climb down from that one? lol

Anything in maroon for you gets weird analysis, see above.

I would be happy to see Olakau'atu picked over Martin, really should've been Kaloamatangi but fuck knows what Souffs did all pre-season except down pies and now the poor bastard is a middle and Latrell can't stay on the field for more than a fortnight.

If I remember your argument was that Martin punches holes in attack but Angus Crichton doesn't.. I wouldn't be crowing too loud about that one. Hasn't aged well.

No no, dont change your tune. You said biased. As in biased towards Walsh. We both know thats not true. Just a weak ad hom you need to fall back on because you only half-remembered the play in question (and it shows) but you cant turn back now...can you.

As for Crichton - I didnt say he doesnt punch holes in attack full stop. I said he offers fuck all impact off the bench as a prop which is where you wanted him last year. And okay fair enough, he was a good middle and had been playing below par at second row. Not the case this year obviously. As you well know I said before this series started I had him pencilled in at 11 with Martin at 17 to systematically break down Qld's right edge. So give it a break. The fact that you still dont think Martin should be in the team is beyond prank. But of course thats another road youve gone too far down to turn back, isnt it?

I dont think you wanna talk about poorly aged analysis, mate. You didnt want Edwards, you dont want Martin even tho he's been one of the Blues best, and you wanted to give Hynes another shot over Moses - disqualifyingly stupid.

You'd think after getting so much, so wrong you'd be a bit more contrite. Keep it coming tho, love yer work lol.

Fifita must be in his wife's DMs or something. How can you even begin to justify such a selection?

EDIT. Im fucked if I know. The updated article now says at the top Fifita has missed out and has Capewell listed at 11. But in the lower paragraphs it says the exact opposite that Fifita will be there so I'm fucked if I know.

Yeh mate you got me, Crichton doesn't offer the same sort of punch in attack as Martin

Crichton would offer more punch in his carries play fullback than Liam Martin at second row. It's hard to take you serious when you double down on the comments.

I also never said I'd pick Hynes over Moses, I would've played Hynes at 6 if fully fit but I just don't think he is. Please don't twist my comments to suit your biased maroon agenda.

You didnt say that. All you said was if he's fit you dont mind him getting a crack in Game 2. But even picking him over Luai is dogshit. Its nothing to do with fitness. Its mental fragility. Do you actually watch him play?

The context was a point of impact in a Blues side which couldnt score points. How many tries and line breaks does Crichton have at prop in Origin? I know how many Martin has on the edge. I know how many Cook has at 9/14. Why am I not surprised you dont remember the discussion but feel comfortable talking out your arse anyway? Long road mate, keep going lol

I think it's the strongest team we've picked this year. The bench mix is fucked tho. Capewell is retarded.

    Papalii's too slow nowadays imo.

It has to be Fifi's triple lindy contract backflip earlier this year. And simply the fact it's the third or fourth time he's had very public contract issues where he has come off immature, unprofessional, and untrustedworthy; and his character has come into question. This has obviously pissed off the Maroons' high-ups behind the scenes.

    It's the only explanation.

  12. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

The Bench isn't complete shit, considering Billy seems hell-bent on ommitting Fifita and picking Capewell...

  13. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

He's lost a yard for sure but 25 mins off the bench he'd eat it up.

  14. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yeah I mean the only back I'd consider playing off the bench is Ponga. But if you're gonna do that you absolutely have to have two props.

Given how badly we've been beaten through the middle I cant understand why Slater doesnt see fit to pick more middles.

  15. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Kaufusi is playing in the middle a fair bit this year, but you're right, I'd much rather he swallowed his pride and fucking picked Fifi and went with Jensen on the bench or something like that.

  16. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Soon as Tino and Flegler went down Carrigan should've been pushed up front as used as such. 25-30 minute stint then back on for the last 25-30. Playing him for 70+ with only one prop out there is partly why we're getting raped in the middle.

    8.Collins
    10.Carrigan
    13.Hopgood/Arrow

    15.Fotuaika
    16.Cotter

So much more go-forward, and size. Rubes is too small to start up front afaic.

  17. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Hopgood is gone for the season and Arrow is pretty fucked by all reports too (though he manages to play close to 80 minutes every week) But I know what you are saying.

Would be nice to have an Origin series with everyone available for both sides...

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

That was just a blueprint for what we should've been picking the whole series tbh. Paddy up front with the smaller middles like Mo and Cotter off the bench. None of this Kaufusi/Capewell shit taking up valuable bench spots.

  19. Wilson SB Wilson

Billy’s reasoning for overlooking him was because he had a poor pre-season lol.

Billy is a great coach and all but fuck he’s brittle in the media as a coach.

Yeah 100%. Slater this year is Freddy from last year. He seems agitated by even the most innocuous question. And downright snarky whenever one of his picks is questioned.

Wont be surprised if this is his last game as Qld coach.
