Olden days v Current day

Which era of football do you like the most? Old or new?

I prefer everything about the olden days.


Unless I'm at the game, I find current day football so boring to watch on television.

 

Miss the punch-ons and key forwards kicking 15.

Modern day is probably a better spectator sport.

 

Watch enough to local footy, which is pretty much olden day footy.

 

I love when you see old footage, and the goal square is a sea of streamers and confetti.


Umps should still wear the white jackets.

 

Used to be able to bring your own esky stocked with full strength beer.

 

Regular torpedo's were gun too.

 

Being able to run on the ground for a kick or after the game.

 

Have spent many a day trying to master this skill.

Still only have a 20% success rate.
