Agree, 8 isn't quite half, it falls short at 47%. Willie Tonga's State of Origin is NSW. Mick Crocker's State of Origin is NSW. I agree, they can play for whoever they want, afterall the system allows them, just pointing out that they aren't actually Queenslanders as they were born somewhere else.
NSW did nothing for there development as footballers, hence the rule came in regarding junior clubs. Basically as footballers they originate from QLD even if as people they were born somewhere else.

Only player that played for Queensland last year that I have a problem with is Inglis. Not only did he play junior footy in NSW, he also played his first senior game 16 yrs or over in NSW. Not only that, he never lived in the state.
Don't know where you got that gem from, but he played for Norths Devils in Brisbane after he signed with Melbourne when he was still 16. Whilst I don't dispute the rest, he has definitely lived in Brisbane even if it was for only a year and a half.
He played First grade for Macksville in my old local comp when he was 16. He also played for Hunter sports high before he played for Norths Devils.
This argument is so stupid. You should play where your heart lies. Scott Wilson has lived his whole life in Brisbane, but if was to be an Origin standard player his heart would be in Blue 110%. I wouldn't want him playing for QLD. I dunno why NSWhingers keep bringing up Inglis when he doesn't want to play for you, it's really that simple.
