Guaranteed money: either team to win by 1-12 points on bet 365 for $2 (max $20 bet)

then put 20 on either team win by 13+ on palmerbet for $2.35 or whatever

    guaranteed $0 or $7

Assuming the Rabbitohs go on with this, 5 of the last 6 State championship games have been won by a NSW Cup side by 20 or more points.

Not sure it’s been the great product on grand final day the NRL was hoping it would be.

I wonder if they would look at treating the NSW Cup & QLD Cup as conferences and instead play a combined finals series so it results in a more competitive Grand Final game.

How good is a HIA test for your starting prop forward 20minutes in.

Broncos very lucky to still be in this as Panthers haven’t thrown much at them in good ball, will be interesting to see how much they’ve been able to empty the Broncos energy tank going into the 2nd half.

Penrith's structures were perfect against the Storm, now they're just passing the ball along like the Roosters.

I feel like they do it deliberately though, like they’d much rather just dominate possession and territory than take a risk and score a try. Nothing epitomises that than the plays they do run seem to die with the centre so they don’t run the risk of going out. I imagine the intent is to drain the energy of the opposition and then capitalise as the game goes on so it will be interesting to see if they do become more expansive in the 2nd half.

Broncos have come out like they just didn’t have to make 50 more tackles in that first half, a genuine hat trick for Mam in the space of 10 minutes, incredible.

Cracking game, good end to a pretty tame finals series. Felt like Panthers were the better side for 60minutes of that game but at 24-8 with 20minutes to go the Broncos really should’ve won that.

Great performance by Cleary, easy choice for the CCM.

Incredible game to be at. I don't know how they won, they were so cooked

Riff were so lazy around the ruck, was incredible they found a way back

Also seriously fuck Ch9, it's the Grand Final and for some reason at half time instead of breaking down the game, giving us some insight into what's going on they decide to interview Scottie Pippen for 5 minutes.

Was at the game, always had the feeling Broncos needed 1 more try. No one was gonna beat Cleary in that 20 mins, he was perfect. Probs the best 20mins I've seen from a player.

Almost cost them, didn't take advantage of the overwhelming possession when they had it. Hot weather with no penalties is always going to favour Brisbane's speed, grinding them down in those conditions wasn't going to work. It backfired and they should've lost if it wasn't for Cleary who I was always critical of but the last year or so he's completely proven me wrong, he's risen to another level, whatever creativity he lacks he makes up for with his kicking and stoic commandeering of his team and himself.

Moses Leota was huge as well. And couldn't help but notice the two darkest players in Turuva and Mam could endure the heat and speed better than everyone else, if the NRL wants to keep a fast-paced game then more Africans/archaic homorerectus dna are going to start to dominate.

Also shaking my head at the short dropout tactic costing a team a GF. If you can't pull it off 99% of the time then don't do it. Current rate is like 50% of them make it over the 10m line, they're all so shit at it.

Short drop outs and kick offs are still underused, we'll see more of them as time goes on. The players definitely need to get better at executing them though, they should be drilling it constantly.

I don't understand why they don't kick em 20m. Chasers would still reach them, all the reward way less risk.

Or I mean Herbie could've just caught the ball instead of bat it back. Was an undercover brain explosion

Yeh Moses Leota was my pick pre-game for MOTM. Criminally underrated at $51, had some coin on him. Thought he was massive for the Panthers.

    I was on Leota too.

I still can't believe Cleary pulled that off. They were so so soooo shot.

And I say that as a fan that had full faith in 2020 that they could claw it back of they just played footy. I don't know if it was the heat but Panthers just looked all at sea. I tend not to blame the heat as I saw similar problems with their defence against storm but storms attack was a shambles.

Think broncos should be favourites next year. Feels like it could be a bit of a changing of the guard

Aidan Sezer's playing for the Tigers next year, no idea when that was announced but was wondering who tf was going to play halfback for the Tigers next year.

Nah, Penrith again. Brisbane are losing Herbie, Flegler and Palasia, and Reynolds is a year older. Riff only losing Crichton and Leniu, IIRC.

I'd rather keep those blokes than lose them, especially Herbie. However, all our young guys got the experience of playing another season, with the addition of a good finals series. They should also go through some character building from the loss. They will come back better next year.

Those 3 you mentioned are big losses, but they aren't team breaking. People are using Bunnys and Eels as an example of sides that have lost a GF, yet drop off a season or 2 later. I'm likely biased, but I see the Broncos differently. Souths lost Reynolds after 2021, Ilias is a goer, however most would say they haven't recovered from Reyno's exit. And Parra lost very well regarded edge forwards with Nikora and Papalii, and a huge key to their whole gameplan in Mahoney. Parra's failures this year are probably a little overblown though with the amount of injuries they had, and then there's Brown's suspension during the period where the top sides start building momentum into the back end ofbthe season.

Broncos still have the nucleus of their side, and have a heap of young guns coming through. They will be top 2 again I reckon.

Personally I'm hoping Wilison trains the house down in the pre-season and grabs Fleg's jersey. He's been cranking some Haas-like numbers in QCup this year, and he has managed to finish the season for the first time in a number of years, so he'll actually get a pre-seaon in.
