Mousey/Teacups – Shaun McKernan 415. MightyPies/Heef – Jamie MacMillan 416. Masters - Will Hoskin Elliot Best: A toss-up between Firrito and Puopolo. Both are still regular first-teamers despite their age and quite good ones too. Martin and Toumpas undertake risk due to their lack of performance at the highest level, but they could be steals too. Worst: Most picks were reasonable. Worst one was probably Hunt as his career is basically finished, but he was still a quality player and could still be useful here.
Warnock was a great pick. Reckon he's almost a better tap ruckman then Kreuzer but struggles for a game due to team balance.
There are heaps of plenty of players yet to play - o'rourke, grundy, menzel etc. that've been picked, Hogan's in no different a boat. There will be one CPL season between now and the draft where ~30 players without a game will enter the system, he'll be no worse than them. Hogan and Martin, like O'Rourke, will be rated based on state league performances and expected performance *right now* at the top level. I reckon both Hogan and Martin would do well relative to draftees at the top level. However, injuries dependent, a round 25 selection won't be in my best 22 anyway so for someone that was picked with a pick that denotes that they won't be playing, I'm not fussed. Long term prospects he's a top 10 pick. He'll be #1 in next year's draft if available so I'm happy to 'waste' a season when the alternative is one season of extra bench depth.
Nuh thomas young. fucking gun. wanted him so bad thought he'd slide. awesome pick. awesome player. watch him. his rebound for a young kpd is immense.
You read it wrong you spastic. I said IF you ONLY have lockdown defenders you'll have no rebound. Basically saying draft a side that could actually play.
Garland's underrated in this so far imo. Commentators love him (were raving that if they had to take one player from Melbourne it would be him), he's rated fairly high in the AFL player ratings (139 iirc), and he's only young too.
