I'll get the route and all that done tomorrow. Just thought I'd get the teams up now. It's the 2014 route we're using. MMPC: Velits, Froome, Uran, Morkov, Hansen, Roche, Rogers, Millar, Nocentini GC: Froome, Uran Sprinter: Morkov Froome has worked up to form though I think he's targetting the Tour or Vuelta. Uran also in good knick. Riders of Rohan: Monfort, Offredo, Basso, Farrar, Brajkovic, Henderson, Scarponi, Cataldo, Talansky GC: Scarponi, Talansky + any number of the rest Sprinter: Farrar, Henderson Dereks: Wiggins, Burghardt, Gasparotto, Nibali, Kangert, Kittel, Kwiatkowski, Nizzolo, Majka GC: Nibali, Wiggins... perhaps Majka/Kwiatkowski/Kangert Sprinter: Kittel, Nizzolo Castellon Citrosol: Intxausti, Konig, Bak, Westra, Meersman, Steegmans, Betancur, Duarte, Matthews GC: Betancur Spinter: Matthews/Meersman HFF: Mollema, Evans, Hoogerland, Albasini, Sanchez, Gatto, Kiserlovski, Weening, Ulissi GC: Mollema/Evans/Sanchez Sprinter: Gatto FPC: A. Schleck, Hesjedal, Hayman, Davis, Clement, Pozzovivo, Bozic, Machado, Guardini GC: Schleck, Hesjedal, Pozzovivo Sprinter: Davis, Bozic, Guardini LLDC: Stannard, Belletti, Chicchi, Cunego, Gesink, Van Garderen, Kreder, Ratto, Sella GC: Van Garderen, Gesink Sprinter: Belletti, Chicchi A lot of teams really attacking the GC here. I'm not exactly sure which ones have done the preparation and will really attack this and which ones are here working towards the tour or vuelta though. Undoubtably at least half of the GC riders here won't be challenging. Nibali goes in favourite though, he's the form rider whereas Quintana and Rodriguez who also looked to be riding well are skipping. Uran, Froome, Betancur, Mollema, Scarponi and Ulissi. Wiggins, Talansky, Brajkovic, Majka, Roche, Gesink, Schleck, Monfort and Konig a touch off pace, perhaps building for the tour and some are kind of entering it blind, either have barely raced all season or did a patch early but haven't done much lead up. I'd probably guess Froome's class will see him gain touch as it goes on and he'll be a back week threat. He'll definitely go for the tour or vuelta too though as his major part of the season. I'd have him and Nibali favourites with Uran third right now. It's a quality field. For sprinters however it's not. Kittel's race for the taking, none of Cav/Sagan/Greipel are bothering and most B graders can't even be fucked. Means we'll have a stacked as fuck Tour though. Expect Nizzolo, Bozic, Matthews, Guardini and Farrar to battle for the placings with some outside pressure from Petacchi, Mezgec and Veelers.
WorldTour leaders not giving two fucks about this race then. Hoogerland AND Ulissi, let's see some feisty racing pls
Looks like we'll be aiming for a top 10 and a stage win for 2 then. Kittel's going to rack up at least 5 stage wins I'd reckon, no way he should be losing to any of the other sprinters
