CPL MVP: 5 - Adam Treloar: Clear BoG 4 - Brant Stanton: Good game 3 - Trent Cotchin: Another good game 2 - Pearce Hanley: Rebounded from defence really well 1 - Brendon Goddard: Was dominant in the first three quarters, really set up the win
Broughton ended up playing forward as you were short a rotation there. Pearce moved back to accomodate Libba/Crowley both playing midfield. I think it was just a case of midfield domination. Your fwd line certainly could have done better with the supply it had but Brett's forward line was just restricted so well. I think McGlynn on the field over Hudson and someone like Jed Lamb as sub might have changed things a bit but really it's always gonna be tough without Pendles. I didn't know what way this would go but in hindsight I'm not too surprised, really. Better ruckman, better rovers, better users and better accumulators in the middle.
