Cyclones, the ban, new leading man and future plan

It’s been a busy few weeks in Cyclonia with board re shuffles, shock upsets, future recruitment and squad changes left right and centre, it’s left a lot of fans feeling un certain about where the Clones are headed, the following will shed some light on where they stand.

Earlier this week the world of Cricsim was rocked when one if it’s favourite sons, the charismatic ‘Emm’ was banned for accusations of cheating, or so was released.

After struggling with form early Emm’s career hit a new low point when he was dropped to the ALC and his bowling ranking slipped to a season low 14th. After not joining the brumbies for the team luncheon on the eve of the cubs match, the troubled spinner arrived at the game clearly intoxicated turning in one of his poorest performances. This lead to then president JP Gonzalez held private talks with Emm.

After learning that a break away wild child group was forming between high profile stars Gemmell, Emm and Dempsey, involving a Columbian drug cartel, Gonzalez enlisted the help of one Wilson to help work out a plan to resolve the issue. It was later revealed that Gemmell was using the Cyclones brand to ship cricket bats laced with an assortment of drugs to raise money for his new club ‘The Gamblers’. Emm was helping under the proviso that he would receive his share of cocaine and Dempsey receiving a share of the profits. Stunned that all this had been happening right under his nose, Gonzalez stepped down from the presidency and handing it to the new leading man SB Wilson.

Wilson set out to get the Cyclones and get them on the straight and narrow, shipments of bats were ceased, Gemmell was given the clubs blessing to leave for his new side, Dempsey was told that his HoR position was on the line should he slip up again, one of the Cyclones favourite sons, Johns, was given the CoS role and Emm was given more responsibility at the club being named the Media Manager on the new board. Unhappy with the lack of discipline dished out, Cricsim CEO Robert Cribb stepped in and placed a ban on Emm from all forms of Cricsim and ordered he spend 3 days in a Californian Rehabilitation clinic.

President Wilson had the following to say :

‘The shake up of the new board has led too more input being given by alot of the younger, up and coming members which is great to create a good culture around the place. This should see us at the top again next season, definitely.’

When asked about the new drug policy:

‘There may or may not have been roofies around at a function when former player BJ Gemmell was signed. I know my farts didnt make a sound after that night, ’

On the ban:

‘He hasn't missed a game for us, so it doesn't matter (what that dictator Rabert Crabb does).’

Ultimately this has led to a tighter, smoother and ultimately stronger outlook for the ‘Clones and better reputation for the Cyclone's brand. One that should see them remain at the top of the Bannerman Shield for a long time to come.
