Rules - Draft a roster of 25 cyclists - The full UCI World Tour Roster will be simulated as a season. This is all 27 events. Selected 1 & 2.HC races will be included - This will include a mixture of grand tours, stage races and one day classics - Included in this will be stages with HC climbs, as well as stages with category 1,2,3,4 climbs and intermediate sprints. It is an absolute replica of all courses, essentially. Cobblestone races will be a part of it too. Skippos's top tips - Riders have morale. Each squad has a leader at each race. If you draft Nibali and Wiggins, and race them at the same race, one would have to play second fiddle. That rider's morale will fall drastically as he feels he should be a leader. He'll perform worse. Try and recruit a balanced squad such that people aren't battling for leadership. Gun sprinters don't like being domestiques and lead out men either. However, a gun rider who wants to be a leader with shit morale through being a domestique will still be better than a good moraled meh rider - Guys like Froome may play second fiddle in real life but they won't like playing second fiddle in this - Recruit a balance of sprinters, domestiques, climbers, punchers, fighters and northern classic specialists - it will maximise your team's success. Rankings are calculated using the official UCI rankings & superprestige rankings. This will determine your score/rank against others. The sim I'll be using is pro cycling manager 2012. Their ratings of players are pretty spot on, I've found - I've made a few (about 15) alterations (i.e. sagan would come 12th in every sprint even if it was a hill finish). They rate players on the following attributes - Sprint - Acceleration - Hills - Mountains - Flat - Downhill - Resistance - Recovery - Fighting Spirit - Time Trial - Prologue - Endurance - Cobblestones If that may help your selections. I will be setting it so that player potentials are shifting (i.e. they're not the default ones with the database so I don't have an advantage - a players potential will be decided by their performance and morale etc. not a predetermined number like usual) Happy to answer any questions if not - the draft can start in here. Are dopers (i.e Contador) in the game? Also, are we required to choose a team (eg. Radionshack/FDJ etc?)
Ah yes, I knew I forgot some things. Cuntador etc. are all ELIGIBLE And no - not required to choose a team. What I'd like is a team name and three locations though - a primary, a secondary and a tertiary location (sliding scale of importance) for your sponsors. Locations as in countries ftr.
In that case, Alberto Contador edit: wait, by eligible, do you mean that he's in the game, but can't race again for a set period of time? Or that he's no restrictions whatsoever? (assumed the later ftr, but just checking )
