I stand by my posts. I don't think I ever said he wouldn't play well.

    He's so overrated still.

Ahhhh. I said he wouldn't dominate, but he has in patches.

This thread is pretty bad, especially because he won't win you a premiership, and he will be leaving after next year.

Isn't he leaving after this year? He said something about RL being too tough on his body or something compared to Yawnion.

lol no, he's never said that. From all reports he's loving playing Rugby League again.

Rugby Union are just putting pressure on him to return next year if he wants to play in the next World Cup, they refuse to give him a guarantee that he'll be in the 2015 World Cup if he remains in Rugby League for another season. There's still a chance he'll stay at the Roosters.

I haven't actually seen a quote from SBW saying he is enjoying League.

    Nor I.

He's gone way better than I expected, has been dominating and is one of the main reasons the Roosters are minor premiers, which is certainly good for any club. The Roosters fans love him and have been turning out in their droves (as they tend to whenever they're winning) and everyone seems to love him.

The best part is that no Roosters fans are under any false pretenses as to his intentions. No one thinks or is expecting him to be at the club for 8 years and they don't care. Had they have been running out of the 8 it'd be a different story I'm sure, but it's not. The risk of signing him has already reaped enough rewards to be called a total success imo. There seems to be a good attitude amongst the playing group and they still turned in some excellent performances without him.

The on field success isn't all SBW of course, Robinson and other signings have proved to be great, but as far as the off field stuff goes and getting some positive buzz about the Roosters and among the Rooster fans, no ones been more important than SBW.
