Melbourne Storm star Cameron Smith increasingly likely to sign with Brisbane Broncos

Fuck that would be gun. Although it has to be said they are about 7 years late... The last rep standard hooker we had was Berrigan, 5 years if you consider Ennis rep standard...

Remember when we had Gorrell and Marsh?

I have a memory of Henjak playing Gorrell, Marsh and McCullough in the same side... Did it ever happen?

    Jizzm.

You'd think he would want to remain a one club player. Then again, perhaps if he wants to come home it may happen. He'll be 32 in 2015 so still a few good years left. He'll probably still be better than most hookers at 35-36 anyway.

Sea Eagles move to head off Broncos approach to Daly Cherry-Evans

Fuck articles like this are retarded.

How the fuck does this have to do with where he wants to play his footy?

PJ Marsh was actually good when he came back to the Broncos. I said in the pre-season before it that he could get himself back into the QLD team with Berrigan leaving in 07. I think it was a mistake to pick him, he didn't play very well off the bench, and it shows again how Broncos players are hugely advantaged when it comes to rep footy, but the prediction was spot on, if I do say so myself :p

    This, so much.

Hodges was saying in the Courier that he'd consider a move to 6.

I'm not sold on how he'd go there though. The only positive I can see is the fact Reed could move to the right.

Apparently his doc is happy with his progress and he might be ready for rd 1. I doubt it though, because he was meant to be back at numerous times throughout 2010, and he never set foot on the paddock.

lol Hodges at 6. Just imagine the cunt getting into first receiver or actually hitting the ball at speed. FMD.

I can imagine a hammy tear...

Yow Yeh was easily better than Reed.

This. All of this talk about him back for round 1 sounds an awful lot like 2010.

Wow, Broncos will be absolutely nasty if they can get Smith and DCE.

Question is, how can they afford them?

  12. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

They'll be lucky to get one of them.

tl;dr-They can't, the rumours are total BS?

Apparently Todd Lowrie got released to join too.

  15. Magic AJ Parker

I think we'll see an announcement of some significant updates to the salary cap in the coming weeks which will allow clubs to carry more than one elite/marquee player.

They wont get DCE though, the third year of Barba's contract is huge. If I've done my sums correctly that'd also be the year DCE would be off contract.

Unless they want to go Melbourne style and forego ability in the rest of the squad.

  16. Magic AJ Parker

The Parker to Penrith rumour just received a little kick.

  17. Harry Sack SB Slippy

    Lowrie to Penrith IMO

If we lose Parker for that nobody, heads must roll.

    We won't.

I don't really care for whom, Parker should not being going anywhere unless he really, really wants to leave. It shouldn't even be an issue as far as finances go.
