Best and Worst Teams Thus Far?

I'll do brief overviews of what I think. Generally most sides look pretty solid and I can see a lot of variance in where everyone finishes up. In particular can see injuries being important.

Alex: Seems kind of meh, but does bat fairly deep which will help. Having Wade and Ashwin gives him options too, especially given he's picked Parnell, Curran and Southee for good measure.
Number 11: Very strong. Might lack the superstars that a few other sides have but it's very solid throughout. Will be up there.
StephenZA: A lot will depend on how some of his rawer players go (and whether Rohit will be genuinely awesome or merely good), right now I don't rate it that highly but I wouldn't be surprised if he does rather well.
Boobidy: Actually a very solid starting 11. If his more recent picks find form I can see him excelling.
Skippos: Will be tough to beat at home given his spin attack. His batting isn't amazing but if he can find a great batsman with a later pick he'll have a rather good team.
Heef: Reckon a lot will come down to Smith, I don't rate the rest of his batting that highly and his bowling I think needs a strike weapon. Could do well but I can see him flopping if (admittedly a fairly unlikely "if") Smith doesn't dominate.
Gazza: His engine room will be key, bowling wise it doesn't excite me all that much and his top order will rely a lot on Root. Can see it being a top half side but can also see it really struggling.
Baxter: Class side all round. Will be tough to stop.
Captain: Best batting in the comp right now, and has a pretty nice bowling attack too. Another big contender.
Spark: How his non-Test players fare will be key, right now it's a good side but probably not a finals certainty.
Magrat: Again the form of the non-Cummins bowlers will matter, but looks pretty strong on paper otherwise.
Jimmy: Seems a bit meh right now, I think the bowling is one of the weaker ones and his top order isn't that great either. Can see his engine room fucking over a lot of teams though.
Julian: Don't really rate it too much, his batting is pretty ordinary and I rate other attacks ahead of this one. One of the strugglers.
Cabinet: Like it quite a lot, though might be short a really gun middle order bat.
Flem: Actually a reasonable group of players, but am uncertain about the balance of it. Could still surprise if he drafts well from here on in.
Benny: Not a huge fan of the bowling unit which hurts. Batting is fine but I don't think it's one of the better teams.
Dhokchau: The batting is not good. Bowling better I guess but even then the seam attack is weaker than basically everyone else's. Could do well if he gets a turner but otherwise it will struggle.
Howe/Dan: Was expecting these guys to struggle pre-draft but it's actually quite a nice team. How well it will go probably comes down to how certain key batsmen fare but it's a side I could easily see being a challenger if they do well.
GAS: His bowling seems rather raw and other than Williamson the batting doesn't look all that flash. Could be OK if his bowling works out well but it could really be a struggler.
MrPrez: Close to the worst bowling of the bunch, though I guess having Shakib will help. A pretty good middle order but the top order looks weak right now. Don't think all that much of the team.
Chewie: All round solid, but needs to improve his tail. Should still do rather well.
Hunter: Having so many top order bats is interesting and could mean that his middle order doesn't work all that well. Otherwise, this is a quality team.
Athlai: Unfortunately, this side is quality.

I'd be keen to see Morgie's power rankings

  3. Number 11 CJ Downes

Lacks your own side so I’ll give it a go.

Morgie: Very strong foundation with 4 world class players all fulfilling different roles., Babar and Shaheen absolute steals. Top order relies on young players Gill and Nissanka performing but top tier bowling attack and bats deep. Definite contender.

I'll get one done at the end of the round. Want all sides to have 11 first.

I know quite a few sides will probably pick players after Rd 11 for the first XI (I know I will), but that's a good place to start.

  5. Skippos SM Morgan

Yeah, then you probably need to use your next few rounds to fill out your XI with how dreadful your last few rounds have been ;)

Just seen this, quite amazed to see morgieb rate us in the top 10 after shanking our picks for like 6 rounds in a row

  11. Athlai JJD Heads

He also rated Benny at 20...

Yeah I think a fair bit would've changed in the last few rounds. I'll wait until the draft to give some full(-ish) power rankings.
