with port's side compared to ours we should have won by 100
We took our foot off of their throats in the 2nd half.
Hendo out with a broken leg...
just seen a replay of the game, Betts 5 ?? looked ok up forward
Not what you'd want to hear.
Lucky they have McKernan
Pods/Johnston/lynch/Mckernan is still an okay key forward setup
I hope Sando was trolling when he said Tex could be out until late-season...
He was trollin. Tex will be right come rd 5 or 6
Angus Graham is a good swing forward.
Ridiculous last quarter so far.
so much shit kicking/lack of composure. Grigg has to go. E grade footballer.
twice on the western wing we lost 3 on 1s. How on earth do you, in a 3 v 1, let the melbourne bloke get an uncontested mark. Grigg's dropped chestmark too.
Such terrible pressure. Such poor tackling. Shot selection/conversion 1/10.
Shaw has to go
Grigg has to go
Betts deserves a spell in the magoos.
Reilly has to go
Adelaide forward line
Pods: 'I'm the most experienced forward so every ball is mine'
Betts: 'I'm the best crumber around so let me run around across everyone's leading lines to try and get contested marks'
Jenkins: 'I'm quick and good. Every ball is mine'
Petrenko: 'My defensive job is of the utmost importance. If I cut off your lead its for the greater good'
Dangerfield: 'I'm the best player in the team. When I'm forward every ball must come to me'
Only Lynch knows his ability and limitations and plays to a structure.
Petrenko is hopeless.
I'd keep him in the side. Pretty bad footballer but defensively does his job and is good for the pressure we're missing right now.
Rutten's not great at his age but fmd he would have been the perfect matchup for Dawes. For some reason we play Hartigan/Shaw over him
Sam Shaw - Gets beaten by his opponent every week and can't kick. Get fucked
Kyle Hartigan - Has a good bit to work with but he's just not at the standard yet. One for the future, doesn't have the athleticism to handle the quick talls nor the strength to handle the brutes yet.
Eddie Betts - seems disinterested. Still in the best 22 but just needs to have a higher work rate and hopefully more desire. Perhaps a spell in the magoos might help him
Mitch Grigg - In four minds whenever he goes to kick. No composure and soft as butter
Jared Petrenko - Doesn't use his offensive capabilities near well enough.
Brent Reilly - Just not AFL standard anymore. Awful
Sam Jacobs - He's still not the tap ruckman he once was due to the new ruck rules but he's adapted and become a real weapon around the ground
Scott Thompson - He's gained back the quarter of a second he seemed to have lost
Daniel Talia - Fast becoming one of the best KPDs in the comp
Roast & Toasts:
Sam Kerridge: Becoming an excellent tagger. Limiting his opponents so well. BUT if he's essentially playing full time midfield to do this he needs to have some offensive effect on the game. Even a few tackles would be good if he's focusing on defense
Brodie Smith: Gets it and looks good with it. Kicks so well and in great touch. But he's going on 6'5. Grown 2-3 inches since being drafted and now is tall enough to be a KPD or a KPF quite easily. When you're one of the tallest blokes on the park and playing small you've got to fucking offer something defensively. Got beaten by his man today time and time again and aerially offers not near enough for someone his size on a smaller bloke. Needs a left foot too.
Should roll with Talia/Rutten/Hartigan. Although I doubt any of them would be able to provide anything offensively.
