Aussies by 10. Don't like NZ's defence and I think we might run a fair few tries past them if we complete well and have the same shape as we did tonight. Should be a ripper. Payback time!
Australia 91 wins NZ 29 wins Draws 3 In Percentages we have won - 24% of the match ups. And that is about the odds I would give us off upsetting Australia in the final. Most of our victories have come when Australia have beaten us in the ten previous outings and their coach gives them a speech along the lines of "just make sure you get the team bus on time I don't want anyone to be late. I know its only New Zealand and not a state of origin match but they apparently beat us 10 years ago. I was going to show you some old footage of it but it is only VCR". This game will be won and lost in the locker room speeches before the game starts. Make no bones about it NZ will play their hearts out for their country. And their level of commitment may surprise some of the younger Australian players. For NZ to win they must be leading at half time. We don't have the same bench strength as Aussie do so there will be no second half comeback cinderella story. I don't care if RTS doesn't play. Manu will play his heart out if he comes in. Fire up black.
Yeah should be a ripper. Do you think Australia playing an easy beat before the final a help or a hindrance? NZ might be tired after England but Australia might be cocky after Fiji.
There's a bigger variance between NZ's possible performances and England's. NZ could shit it up, or actually win. Eng would have just played well, but lost. Looking forward to seeing how we contain SBW/Johnson/Whare/Sheck
It's a broken fibula, he played the last 5-10 mintues with it so it's not overly serious but he'll probably be out for 2-3 months.
The club have arranged a trial for the same weekend as the nines, I expect they'll be taking as few first graders as possible.
Especially seeing as the WCC is on the next week? Doubt they'd put any first graders in that trial really.
That's the whole reason for it, they want to get some minutes into the players before the WCC which they're taking more seriously than the 7's. I reckon the club will meet the bare minimum requirements of the 7's tournament. There were 16 Roosters players involved in the World Cup, we're by far the most affected club in the NRL and they don't return to pre-season until the middle of January. I wouldn't expect much in the 7s tournament tbh.
