Hmm, given the fact the Lions last performance was shit I guess it's a lil up in the air but can't see them playing like that again. The Blues haven't been anything more than average.

The Lions will beat the Blues.

The Blues struggled badly last week against a VERY VERY weak Kings side and I reckon the Lions only had an off week against the Canes. The Lions have been much better than what we saw last week all season and I am backing them to regain their previous form. Lions will also dominate the scrums against the Blues after getting back their first choice props - against the Canes they started with a debutant and got wrekt. Bar the Blues being below par again this season, I just reckon the Lions have been in better form over the course of the season and will get back on track.

I guess the fact they were missing their props is pertinent. Will tip the Lions in my pool but bet on the Blues on the TAB

Yep all points I made a few posts back so certainly agree. Add in the home factor for the Lions and they should be right. Although Hurricane if Jantjies is out then that's a big blow for the Lions.

Yeah that Lander's line was always gonna drop, hasn't dropped quite as much as that elsewhere but tbh it's obvious people would have been hammering it. Sure the Saders are at the top of the table but tbf they haven't played as many of the stronger teams yet and have a tough end to the season.

I'm not sure I agree with Boyd's team in a situation like this. I really see a lot of potential in Goosen but starting him on his debut when our team is weakened significantly seems like a bit of a risk.

I'm not sure what has happened with Laumape really, he was getting better and better, gets injured and now that he's healed he's sat on the bench in the favour of Aso who has been quite shit. Even Halaholo has been good and has been nothing more of an impact player.

So he has this back line:

11. Goosen
12. Aso
13. Proctor
14. Woodward
15. Marshall

What would make more sense to me is:

11. Proctor
12. Laumape
13. Aso/ Halaholo
14. Woodward
15. Marshall

Much more secure team there with Proctor moving to the wing. The only thing I can think of is Boyd is seeing that Proctor is really starting to look good as a centre and doesn't want to mess with that? I hope Goosen has a good game, can basically play anywhere in the back line and was incredibly dangerous in NPC so hopefully that translates to this game.

Highlanders now at $1.80 and the favourites to win. Complete screw up by the TAB. Glad I got in at $2.05

Nope not at all, every bookie had them around $2.25/ $2.30 to begin with, it was always obvious that the public was gonna hit the Landers hard with those odds, I certainly hit them. Basically the Saders being top was the main factor in those odds but in reality it's a 50/50 match for both sides, Landers should get the job done here.

I tipped the Landers in my pools, which according to Superbru will be an upset with the average community pick being Saders by 1. Hoping they can hang on here for another 40mins.

Hurricane, you seemed to not know who Faddes was last week, you will now. Like I said, very potent player.

You just have to look at the crowd sizes these NZ derby matches have been attracting to show how much better they are than any other games. We haven't had crowds like this in all NZ cities for super rugby in ages.

Wow. Highlanders dodged some serious trouble in the first half with those disallowed tries. Lucky to lead at half time but deserved the full time win.

The crusaders were dominating that game at first with their inside channel passes cutting the landers to shreds. Then Aaron Smith's decision to do a tap penalty turned the game on its head.
Then I looked around at the Saders backline and couldn't see Nadolo and thought the "The landers have this".

I can't remember what margin I tipped the Landers to win by so Dagg's last second try either helped me or hurt me.

YEs I now know who Faddes is.

Remaining bets

First bet won, two to go. Warratahs must win.

Another good start for me (Landers and Brumbies winning) has once again set me up for a good betting weekend.

Tahs should definitely get the job done. Bulls are looking bad in Aus.

20. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Won two out of three bets. Funds standing at $88. Could make it to $100 next weekend if I bet wisely.
