Another club to be exposed for breaching the cap

Apparently another club (not Parra) will be exposed for salary cap breaches in the next few days.

The journalist who's reporting this is the same one who broke news about the Eels breaches and the Dogs breaches back in 2002, so she has credibility.

Hopefully nothing more than a pissy 2nd tier breach or something to do with the complicated world of 3rd parties, fringe benefits etc. The game really doesn't need another credibility hit with the salary cap.

I wouldn't be surprised if theres a whole number of clubs that do the same thing. Pretty easy to get away with IMO until the NRL decides to actually hire proper auditors that is.

Scratch the credibility part apparently Obeid sued her twice and won during the Dogs salary cap Scandal.

She was found making up sources.

 

Reported on 2GB that it's a club currently in the top 4, story to break some time tomorrow.

I'd be shattered if it was us, I genuinely don't know if I'd ever be able to support the game or club with the same passion and commitment I have for the majority of my life.

But my god there's some fucking idiots when it comes to Nick Politis. This is the bloke who's been leading other chariman to petition for change of the current NRL administration and was instrumental in getting the independent commission set up.

Neither read of the actions of a bloke who has the NRL in his back pocket. His say and influence over the past 40 years may be greater than any other individual figure through out that same period of time and that upsets people because he's so heavily involved in a club also but he's been anything but cosy with the NRL for a long time now. Ignorance at its finest.

 

My opinion is not based on the information in the public domain, it's what I've heard after formerly working with one of his nephews.
