What a match mine is turning out to be, a real nail biter at the moment

I thought I was dead in the water after my opponent scored 377/8 on a hard pitch under cloudy skies with one of their batsmen scoring 191 off 146 balls. However, I am currently 302/4 after 41 overs with one of my batsman not out on 168 off 131. Fingers crossed...

    Arrrrgh

    J. Omar 7-0-58-2, R. McInnes 1 (1b), W. Rathie 0 (0b)
    End of over 44 (10 runs) - VillaNine(332-6). 46 runs required from 6 overs. RR 7.55 RRR 7.67

43.6 W Omar to Carlyon : [stumped] Carlyon dances down the track to blast it out of the stadium but fails to read the flight and the turn, one of the easiest stumpings for Malleshi. Smart bowling by Omar.W. Carlyon st A. Malleshi b. J. Omar 192 (142b 9x4 6x6) SR:135.21

43.5 1 Omar to McInnes : Down the track comes McInnes to push this one out to long on for a single.

43.4 W Omar to Prindiville : [stumped] That brings joy to an old leg spinner's heart. Deceived in flight, Prindiville was nowhere near it and Malleshi removes the bails gleefully. Prindiville gets a sly grin from Omar as he begins the long walk to the sheds.T. Prindiville st A. Malleshi b. J. Omar 29 (33b 1x4 0x6) SR:87.88

43.3 1 Omar to Carlyon : Smashed to deep extra cover, where Ferguson picks up and rockets a throw over the top of the stumps. Great cricket.

43.2 4 Omar to Carlyon : [misfield] That's come right off the meat of the bat and was so powerful that it went straight through the legs of Veerender at cover. That's 4 more to the total.

43.1 4 Omar to Carlyon : Square cut by Carlyon races to the boundary for four.

Yer gonna need more if you want to attack it. Wait till the EOS when all the good players come on the market :( - hopefully you'll have a mil by then.

Almost there now, just gotta hold their nerve (and mine)

    J. Raygur 9-0-90-0, W. Rathie 12 (9b), R. Gilmour 9 (4b)
    End of over 47 (11 runs) - VillaNine(367-7). 11 runs required from 3 overs. RR 7.81 RRR 3.67

  6. Asterix EZ Asterix

    Faaaaaark!!!!!

    47.2 W Omar to Rathie : Slow full toss, Rathie didn't connect and the ball hits middle stump.W. Rathie b. J. Omar 12 (11b 1x4 0x6) SR:109.09

Phew, that was way too close

    VillaNine won by 1 wicket

    J. Raygur is tired.

    J. Omar 9.4-0-72-5, R. Gilmour 14 (14b), S. Kettels 2 (2b)
    End of over 50 (1 run) - VillaNine(378-9) RR 7.56

49.4 1 Omar to Gilmour : Pushed through mid-wicket, should be an easy two here. Kettels has stumbled while turning for the second and only just manages to regain his ground before Karim's throw thumps into Malleshi's gloves.

haha fuck you played against Omar.

He's a fella Shiv sold to me and I raised him into the gun that he is :D

Yep, the farker got career best figures against me as well, 5 for 72. Although he did also have the winning runs hit off him.

What a way to start an innings

    0.1

Cottrell to Carter : [Bouncer] Carter will not want to see this replay! The ball is banged short and angled wide across the right-hander, moving away far more than Carter imagined. He reached out, rooted to the crease and tried to carve it over point, tame edge to first slip.

    J. Carter c C. Lockyear b. B. Cottrell 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

Cottrell to Turich : [great fielding] Turich has thrown the kitchen sink at that and the result? A big, round nought. Ballans at cover was in the way.

Cottrell to Turich : [catch] Short of a length on the off stump and nipping away. Turich moves back and pushes at it away from his body. The ball takes the edge and flies to Ballans at second slip.

Cottrell to Burton : It's missing leg, it's missing off, and it's knocking middle out halfway up! Burton has to go.

Cottrell to Rawle : [catch] A wild slog induces a top edge that swirls in the air before being pouched by Townsend

Had an important win today in OD 3.4

Yes, my ratings have fallen, but I'd say my team's still too good to be relegated to OD 4.x. Still, start of the day I was 8 points adrift of safety in 8th place. Still in 8th place, but only 4 points adrift now after overcoming a 178k to 180k deficit.

Really should have managed my players' fitness better earlier in the season, but I was away for a couple of weeks and things drifted.

Good to see Brodie bowling well:

    S. Brodie 5-1-6-2, H. Ramalingam 9 (17b), S. Sathaye 0 (0b)

    End of over 22 (1 run) - Manik(82-7) RR 3.73

    That's a new career-best for Deetman:

    Q. Deetman 8.3-0-24-6, S. Sathaye 8 (25b)

    End of over 32 (maiden) - Manik(104-10) RR 3.25

9 months ago...That's more than 2 seasons...In all probability, he has been trained well in that long time...

Bad point! It is like saying a player at age 18 is the same as that player at age 28 - regardless of anything else. BS!

3.3 . Auty to Buchanan : I can see someone in the pavilion shouting and screaming at Buchanan to get a move on. Something about Buchanan not hitting enough boundaries off the trundlers. Hmmm...

3.4 4 Auty to Buchanan : Shot! Elegantly played in front of square leg. It pitched on leg stump and Buchanan flicked it for a boundary.

3.5 4 Auty to Buchanan : That delivery was short, wide and after that I lost track of its flight. A welcome boundary.

3.6 6 Auty to Buchanan : Nailed it. Yep - that's gone! A big, thumping strike over long-on. He just stood, swung and the ball sailed for six, several rows back.

    Oh the irony.
