90s i'd say. most of the stuff I love developed from the 90s - and some class stuff came out then. Pretty much all of the hip-hop I love comes from then too aside from some of the oldschool/golden age stuff

    plus it had the cranberries

    and the beastie boys

    and peaches first album

    and massive attack

60's for me. 1967 Probably has the most music in my collection (along with 1991. What a year that was....)

60s had everything. Started with a bit of Sam Cooke and Ben E King. A few local acts like The Beatles and Bob Dylan (though I always maintain he's a poor mans Phil Ochs). Spiced up with the Stones, Kinks, Who. Mellowed out with Otis Redding. Rocked into the middle with Velvet Underground and Cream. A few flash in the pans like the Bee Gees and Pink Floyd, before being closed out by Hendrix, Creedance, Led Zep, Allman Brothers...

88-92 though.... Janes Addiction, Metallica, Pixies, Alice In Chains, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, R.E.M, RHCP, Soundgarden, Blind Melon, RATM, Sublime..... Theres a playlist to get you going

This is why I found it so hard to pick between the 80's and 90's!

    70s and 80s.

    Prog rock and metal mainly.

90s. Never really could get in to anything from the 80s or earlier, just doesn't seem to suit me. Alt rock type stuff from the 90s is what I enjoy the most now, when I go back and listen to it, at the time as a kid I just listened to the typical mainstream shit and nothing else, and it definitely wasn't as bad as now. (don't know about previous decades, only being born in 86)

2000's so much variety on offer if you just scratch the surface. And Springsteen influenced punk bands showing up everywhere ftw!

I love all the old music, from the 60's onwards really. Pretty shitty with all the music these days, 99% of it is absolutely rubbish.
