    Had a nightmare on Friday.

Hate McQueen. It's probably the hair and "hiding" him on the wing.

Kade Snowden played origin must be good lols

    Jake Friend's a gun.

Qld's hooking depth, particularly when compared to about 8 yrs ago, is ridiculous. In 2003, Michael Crocker played hooker in game 2 before being replaced by Cameron Smith, 20 games into his career.

Now we've got Smith, Ballin, Friend, Friend, Kingston, McCullough and Payne as starting hookers.

The same goes with a lot of positions though. Back around the same time we had Berrigan as the halfback. Now we've got Thurston, Cronk, Prince, Cherry-Evans and Sandow. All would have made it back then.

In case you forgot, Snowden is an incumbent.:shocking:

I know I've said it before but Daly Cherry-Evans reminds me so much of a young Andrew Johns. He could be anything.

    Wow.

Snowden didn't finish the season well and he's always been a little over-rated by most but he's still a quality player. He's the least of the worries in this squad really.

    Wow, what?

Was just a big call, is all. I haven't been as impressed with him as some. Both Manly halves leave me a little cold at times and this is despite the fact that five-eighth has been compared with Fittler and now the halfback has been compared with Johns. I must be missing something.

I don't see how it's a big call. Compare DCE's rookie year to Johns's rookie year. The former has been more impressive IMO. He could suffer second year syndrome worse than Tim Smith and it wouldn't make me regret the comparison one bit.

And whilst I wouldn't compare Foran to Fittler, I think you underrate him to no end. I would assume both of us would have him in the Kiwi Test team over his Manly team mate Matai.

I just went "Oh fuck, we're doomed" then remembered the train on squad doesn't have any players from the semis.

Haha. Its very early to be comparing Johns and DCE. Hodkinson > DCE still afaic

    Hence the adjective "young."

I understand u are comparing the rookie phase of their careers, even so

Yeah, I can't argue with that too much. I'd swap Gallen and Harrison, bring Jennings in for Idris (edit: I see you've done that now) and ideally Burt in for Morris too, although the latter will never happen. Only one hooker in the entire squad which is a bit annoying.. would've enjoyed a Kingston/Friend rotation.

I think the PM's XIII team will have players from the first two teams knocked out in it too anyway though.

That's merely a numerical matter. Obviously Harrison would play left fringe and Gallen middle-third.

Edited that. Didn't even see Jennings there.

I think Morris is crap but I don't rate Burt like a lot of others do. Morris would go okay on the wing I think plus he's got more rep experience.

Yes that's the normal scenario; just felt like naming one now from this squad.

Why's McQueen there? He isn't even in Souffs first XVII ffs.
