I think it should be Lockyer. Meninga’s and Provan’s time has come and gone. If they were going to be Immortals it would’ve happened by now. Which pains me to say because Mal will always be my favourite player. Lockyer then Thurston then Smith imo.
It'd be retarded if Meninga or Provan came after Johns. It really just proves they went for Johns way too early, but they've made their bed. Has to be Lockyer now.
QUOTE="Boobidy, post: 2815983, member: 77"]It's painful, but Slater will come after the 3 you mentioned. He shouldn't be in contention at all.[/QUOTE] I don't think slater will. Smith & JT will be only ones from the current group of older active players.
The amount of love that gets thrown at Slater for allegedly being the best fullback ever, he has a retards chance of being inducted.
Lockyer for sure. He really epitomizes the original definition of Rugby League Immortal. A player of incredible skill and integrity on the field. 355 games; never even cited by judiciary.
And was the best in his position, twice. Completely changed his game after he did his knee, turned into more of a traditional halfback, and dominated playing that way too.
