Not too disappointed given the fatigue the Cowboys had going into this. I do wish they had more of a dig but they did well seeing as usually premiers struggle the following year somewhat.
Only reason to hope for a Sharks premiership from my perspective is to see Luke Lewis go out a winner. Always been a fan.
MAssive this. One of my favourite ever. Also fukcing lol at the fox post game show title: Matthew Johns -sharks legend-
Weak excuse, there was way more to that game than them being a little tired from a game played last weekend.
I didn't say fatigue was why they lost so I was not making an excuse. I said they did have it going into the game but I don't blame that for why they played shit. They were making those errors before the Storm game even. They were terrible tonight, they had chances to comeback after the Coote try but blew it.
In a way I'm kind of glad the Cows lost because it'd be much more painful to see them lose in the GF which is what I think would've happened.
And would have lost by a hiding especially if it was the Storm. Quite shocked that as far as scores go none of our losses have been by more than 12 or 14.
Yeah that would have been harder to take tbh. And I agree about these mid field bombs they constantly do. Their low percentage choices have been just a part of their problems. If they'd started playing for field position after Coote's try I'd like to think they were a chance of coming back but they proceeded to go to shit.
I know some coaches probably complain more than Green, but as a whole, I don't think there's a team in the NRL that complains more than the Cowboys.
They can be rather salty. Sometimes its justified but others its just a case of having to just cop it on the chin. The refs last night were filth but I can't bitch about that after how bad the Cowboys played.
You where never winning the middle battle but when the game was early you had some real success going wide early with slick sweep plays. Should have stuck to that and diverted back to it when you got the ball back after all that possession.
Totally disagree with this. For every half chance and good ground they made going wide early, they fucked themselves just as much with poor passes and errors. Perfect example was after defending 4 or 5 sets at their own end, they go wide and O'Neill knocks on at halfway. Just handing Cronulla the advantage straight back after all that defence. I mean yeah it was evident from the outset that Cronulla had their measure in the middle but the Cowboys didn't play any different to how they play when it's nil all. You can't do that when you've made twice as many tackles as the opposition and only had 35% possession.
