What a snoozefest that was. Scholesy summing it up perfectly as "A waste of an afternoon for everyone"
Makes sense not to call him up, we've qualified, and he's made of glass. Would be fucking hilarious to watch him get injured though and see Brendan cry
Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke City), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Burnley) Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), John Stones (Everton), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur) Midfielders : Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Ross Barkley (Everton), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Liverpool), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) Forwards : Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) Delighted to see Dier in the squad
its a strong looking squad, if this is still the squad next year with a few added who are injured we may get through the group stages
On this season form you'd say Smalling is in the top 2 CBs in the PL, and Cahill still has class. Shaw will come in at LB if he recovers in time, but yeah we're still looking a bit weak at RB
Would you play him out wide, or line him up with Rooney and Vardy in a 1-2 formation. Or would you just have Rooney as the CF and then Vardy - Barkley - Sterling?
