Montpellier knocking Toulouse out means there'll be more English teams than French ones in the quarters, surprisingly. Unlikely to say the same about the semis, but still.
Both team with only pride to play for and, well...55 point margin tells its own etc. So, anyway, Saints, Sarries, Wasps and Bath all made it? As Howezers said, be lucky to see one in the semis. Maybe Bath might get something in Dublin (if my "who plays who" rough calcs are correct), but can't see any joy to be had over the channel.
No North for the Jimmys. Not a surprise and, realistically, I'd be happier for the boy's long term health if he misses the rest of the season. Hughes missing out for Coventry Wasps after his assault on King's Lynn's finest too. Still think we'll be lukcy to see an English side in the semis.
I reckon we'll get 2, Sarries and I've got a feeling about Bath, would have been even more positive but they are down to 3rd choice tight head
Looking bad for the Saints. 10-0 down after 22 mins and Myler hs missed a very kickable chance. Abendanon looking very good for Clermont; shame we don't consider French based players.
Nakaitaci over for his second; made from a lovely spin out of the tackle from Fofana and a pinpoint cut out pass from Brock James. Who converts to boot. 20-0. Red rover.
Ripping shit up atm. Madness how much stronger the French league is. We don't need Abendanon though, he'd at best be an understudy
It's hard not to look pretty good when on the right side of 30-0. Kind of game that's over before it gets as far as the 15.
True enough, but as things stand we're only a Mick Brown concussion away from Goode at fifteen again. Who wouldn't have the gas to do that. Fuck's sake; getting embarrassing now.
Im an advocate of just letting Watson go as full time understudy. We have better wing depth (and manu) and Watson did very well against the Italians there. slightly different prospect to Aus and Wales mind
It's odd that the top 14 teams have dominated at the top end but have been owned in the Challenge Cup. None made the quarter finals, which had 4 Premiership sides.
Racing running the clock down in their own half for minutes at a time and the ref isn't going to be in a mood to let them get away with it. Gun decision
