    You're a joke of a RL analyst.

Copley vs Reed is six of one, half-a-dozen of the other. They both have severe deficiencies. I'd take Copley simply because he's younger and clearly has a lot of improvement in him. Most of his issues are technical and can be fixed. Reed seems to be doing a Willie Tonga and he wasn't that good to begin with. Anyway, it's a moot point for a while...

    Yeah boi.

    Aww....what?

You think he's going to get there do you?

    Stop fingering yourself.

Copley needs to outperform him for 2 months solid or he will be on the wing.

Lol, one round in and it's time to drop Hunt. If any of you were coaches the team would be a non-stop revolving door.

  7. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Agreed. He was shit, but he needs a few months. Hoffman will never be a 5/8

    I can't help it.

    LOL .....no, not really.

He hasn't done much since his first 2-3 games after taking over from Wallace last year. Even back then, in those brighter moments, it was more individualistic kind of stuff that made him shine.

He doesn't seem capable of running the team.

Maybe not suggesting to sack him now .......but I can definitely see it being discussed halfway through the year

Am I the only one who though Hunt was okay last night?
He constructed a number of plays, some came off. Some fizzled.
His defence was rock solid. He was bringing down Pritchard solo, while Gaylett (our apparent lock) was being brushed aside whenever he made any attempt to tackle him.
His pass for Vidot to score was sublime IMO. His kicking game was pretty fucked at times though.

It's only rd 1, and he doesn't have a legit halves partner, so he shouldn't be in the firing line after a few errors last night.

Gillett looked good last night. His attack was poor, but didn't notice any fuckups in defence.

  12. Alec AD Funkotron

Yeah, Gillett was very impressive in the 2nd half. Still, fuck Hook, there's no reason to start both him, Glenn AND Thaiday at the same time. Drop one of Glenn/Gillett on the bench, move Parker back to lock and start one of Hannant/Kennedy with McGuire.

  13. Mr Fourex MR Fourex

Thought Gillett was solid. Still shits me a bit the way he prances about like a goose......but yeah, it was a good hit out for him.

I don't know if I would call the pass for Vidot sublime. It was a good ball that showed good vision. But yes he did some nice things. He wasn't as bad as some are making out but he really wasn't good enough.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Vidot will be mentioned in Origin talks now that he's at the Broncos. He'll get far more exposure and attention.

Hunt's kicking game was absolutely embarrassing mostly. He looked lost out there at times too. He needs a proper half to partner him, even if it has to be another rookie right now....and you can't just swap Barba and Hoffman.

More than a halves partner, Hunt needs better service. McCullough must've thrown a dozen passes that Hunt either had to wait for, or was reaching behind for. There was one set there I noticed in which not a single pass went to the first receivers chest. It totally fucks up the entire movement because it jams the runners.

Gets caught out of position on the last / for the kick, on a regular basis.

Kennedy got through his work nicely. Made strong charges and tackled consistently. He should be playing more than 19 minutes though.

    Cunt still racks a disciprine...

Can put the first Bulldogs try down to him.

As homo as the Dogs were there were some promising signs both individually and collectively that our defence isn't total arse. We scrambled well at times. At some points though we did look very brittle.
