Typically "Cricket Club", "Football Club" etc is just something tacked onto the end of the name to show you what the **** the team actually is rather than being the possessive as such.
No, as I explained before, "Cricket Club", "Football Club" etc are terms typically added onto the end of names as to give further explanation; not terms that are actually part of the name itself and require the possessive. It's not called "Bulldogs' Rugby League Football Club" or "Newcastle's Football Club" is it?
