Nordhaug and Cunego reeled in. In a big, big move though, Vincenzo Nibali has attacked near the top of the climb and joined Uran, 29 seconds ahead of the pack. The break have 1'53 with 20 downhill kilometres left. Edit: well this is interesting. Sanchez and Scarponi have jumped up to the Uran/Nibali group. MMPC well placed. However with them came bradley wiggins who's not only jumped them but gone on himself. The break are gaining a little time though, it might just succeed
Some big names will be losing considerable time here. Froome, Majka, Dan Martin, Voigt, Van GArderen, Moser, Visconti, Niemiec, Westra, Cobo, Spilak, Kelderman, Betancur, Rodriguez, Intxausti, Kiryienka, Leipheimer, Danielson, Kiserlovski, Sorensen all dropped. The 'peleton' consists of 23 riders now, with 5 breakaway blokes 2 minutes ahead.
Scarponi dropped as the lead group absolute rocket towards the line. Surprised. The break will win this stage though.
And they do. Plaza jumped them and wins it, Felline in second. The big winner of the day is Bradley Wiggins though, who gained good time on the contenders. The Nibali group finished together with only a few left - Nibali, Gesink, Tiralongo, Pozzovivo, Talansky and I think Santambrogio.
Yeah I definitely agree. I'm not really sure what I can do about it either. I could perhaps nerf every other rider but that'd be no fun then.
I think it's just a function of the engine doing as well as it can with the constraints of our weird DB. I mean I could definitely see it happening if the RL world was like CPL.
I think I'll do stage 4 soon as well. Would you prefer I get straight into it or have a 2-3 hr break?
