Huge game in youth 3.1 against Lordeman today. If I lose, I can kiss promotion goodbye. I've restricted him to 207-5 off his 40 overs on a Sunny Day and a Flat Wicket. It did help that I dismissed his two best batsmen in consecutive balls. 17 year old James Smith doing the run scoring for Agrajag Mirrors with 98 off 113. Star bowler was Anwar Najeeb with 8 - 1 - 39 - 4
The Cheesecake were cruising at 3-147, but then two of my 19yo guns in Phillips and Hampson stood up and together they took 5-4 in 9 balls, including a hattie for Phillips! Now all I need is two more wickets, with Heef needing 43 off 6 overs, so I shouldn't lose it from here.
A pox on your house Lordeman. You cost me another title and another season of mediocrity. You are off my christmas card list. For some reason, my middle order collapsed with 5 wickets in 9 balls. Can't understand it - those guys Elloit, King and Ovenden are Reliable/Reliable and Neville is Reas/Reas but with the Finisher skill. Shouldn't expect them to get blown away like that on a Flat/Sunny wicket. Piss poor from the Cheesecake.
I'm really low in Bangladesh because I transferred, will be in Div 2 at least in each form within 2 seasons.
Have a couple of spectacular bats and a few more players on outstanding. Being a season 1 starter does help :original:
