Update: 0 mins It is a sunny day here and Rest of Australia attempt to take on the Great Britain team. This is the first match for ROA but there have been a few changes to the GB team that lost to NSW yesterday. DG Dafter comes in at prop and pushes C Laing back to back row. S Verigotta loses his place. In the backline, BOY Blunder moves over to wing whereas Logan loses his places to the incoming Luffman. I am sure this will be a good match and the ref is almost ready to blow his whistle.
Update: 20 mins GEC King put up a high one there and SDR Laing is lifted well to claim it. A maul forms. GB drive well and M Deane takes the ball out of the back of the scrum. A breakdown is formed and C Laing bulldozes 2 ROA players out of the way. He sets it up on a plate for Hornby. Ames calls a backs move. He does a dummy scissors with Golding and passes it to Luffman who is at full speed. BOOM! Massive hit there, Luffman was full on sprinting and he just ran into the freight train that is BJ Gemmell. ROA manage to turn the ball over and it is a good clearance kick by GEC King. GB form up for the lineout and Edwards makes the call. It is a nice ball to the middle and JE McGrath taps it back to Hornby. Hornby makes a solid pass to Ames and he puts Golding in on his inside. HE IS THROUGH! GOLDING PIERCES THE ROA LINE AND OFFLOADS TO FARNSWORTH JUST BEFORE DEVONSHIRE CAN GET TO HIM! 5-0 to GB with the conversion to come. Easy conversion under the posts, Ames isn’t gonna miss those, 7-0 to GB.
