Team History
Seasons 1 and 2

For the first two seasons on CricSim.com, the only playing teams consisted of the Allstars, Redbacks, Sticky Wickets, Ireland and Cyclones, who were admitted in Season 2. At the time, most of the current Crusaders team were playing for the Redbacks. The Redbacks were run by Midnight (Elliot Volavola), who had run into controversy over his off field actions, and would inevitably cause the downfall of the club at the end of Season 2. Season 2 was full of controversy for the Redbacks, as Midnight’s behaviour was not suitable, leading to him being banned, and Mikey Monkeywrench taking over the club for the remainder of the season. The Redbacks ironically went on to win the premiership, beating the Cyclones in the final by 7 wickets.

Season 3

By now, the Redbacks were forced to disband after Midnight was evidentially permanently banned, and the club now lead by MSM Monkeywrench was re-named to the ‘Crusaders’. The team remained virtually the same as the Redbacks from Season 2, and most from Season 1. Season 3 also brought the opportunity for applications for a new team, one of which former Crusaders batsman, RyanG, took advantage of, and was accepted to run his own team for Season 4.

Midway through the season, former Redbacks Owner and Captain Elliot Volavola, was given a second chance, and returned to Cricsim. However, there was no place at the Crusaders for Elliot, and the Cyclones offered him a spot in their side, which he eventually took, only to be permanently banned again at the very start of season 4.

The Crusaders ended up finishing third in their first season, after just scrapping by the Sticky Wickets, who took the wooden spoon. The premiership was eventually won by the Allstars, after defeating the Cyclones by 99 runs in the final.

Season 4

Season 4 was shaping to look very good for the Crusaders. The team had signed some high profile players during the off season, while MSM Monkeywrench stepped down from the captaincy, having SL Wilson take over, and Monkeywrench remaining President. RyanG’s new team, the Vipers, were to start the season, although the team was having problems recruitment wise. The Crusaders were tipped to be a front runner in Season 4, and didn’t disappoint until late in the season, where a string of losses and some great games by the opposition caused the Crusaders to miss out on a finals spot, coming third for their second season in a row, ahead of the Cyclones and Vipers. The Sticky Wickets went on to win the Premiership, totally annihilating the Allstars by an innings and 405 runs.
