Wait, what? We'll be using Season 9 squads for the mostpart, which is what I just said... So you'll be playing for Readville or Gemmellland or something like that.
Oh, okay. I would have thought they would have contributed. So what's the point of the thing really? For something different, or to close the gap between CricSim greats and rookies?
1 Armstrong 2 Davis 3 Manera 4 Gemmell 5 Morgan 6 O'Driscoll 7 Read 8 Taylor 9 Bullpitt 10 Crowley 11 Surkelton On a particularly spin-friendly surface though I'd bring Lukic in for you and Hallett in for Crowley or Surkelton.
Well they'll still contribute to previous performances and hence should be considered as part of selection when the BS rolls around, but it's mainly to get all these members with thousands of posts some cricket under their belts. For various reasons we've had some very long breaks in simmage between the end of Season 7 and now, so I thought it'd be good to get players like you, Weaver, Marcuss etc some actual experience. There's also the reasons you said, of course. It's something a little bit different to spice things up and it might just show that some of the ALC players knocking around at the moment are better than people seem to think.
Okay, cool. Sounds good. I still think the games should go under SC, having them in the stats bar makes it more official and easier to judge imo. But I understand why you wouldn't want them there also.
I could actually just add a separate field for Club Cricket in the stats bar, but it'd get a bit crowded. The standard would be somewhere in between First Class and Second Class so I think it could end up distorting SC stats a bit, particularly as there are so many more games.. it'd just take them over.
As long as they're easily accessible for selection purposes I don't think they need to gointo the sidebar myself.
Yeah, that's a fair point. 30 games is a lot, and club cricket in the bar really isn't desirable. Maybe just a section on the site or something? Is this just a one off thing, or are you thinking of running it after each season? If not then I don't think stats on the site will be needed actually.
Maybe instead of Club Cricket in the stats bar, have a Miscellaneous (sp?) Section and stick those stats in there.
Well if it's gonna be a regular thing in the off season then there should be a separate field for them imo.
There will be a separate stats site for club cricket. ITC actually exports its own stats site that I can upload... it's not as good as the one we have now but it's good enough for club cricket.
