Final round of the season before finals. Get pumped.

    Injuries

KN Rask has been injured and will miss 1 week
J Ono has been injured and will miss 1 week
WC Welker has been injured and will miss 1 week
BJT Manera has been injured and will miss 2 weeks

Who the hell are the Vipers gonna play for Welker? Do they have another good spinner on their list? Manera getting injured also hurts the Allstars as he has been by far their best batsman in the Bannerman Shield.

    Club Games:

    %Stingrays v. %Ravens
    %Sticky Wickets v. %Vipers
    %Pumas v. %Gamblers
    %Allstars v. %Cyclones

    %Crusaders have the Bye

Unless the Ravens give a historical belting to the Stingrays (very unlikely, especially given the Rays are at home), the BS finals will be 1. Pumas, 2. Vipers, 3. Crusaders.

For the Horrigan Cup, if the Gamblers beat the Pumas and the Ravens beat the Stingrays, the Gamblers will come in for the Stingrays for the finals. The Stingrays/Ravens game will determine who gets the home final for the semi; the Pumas have basically locked up the minor premiership.

In the ALC, the Punters and the Fangs are in. The Kittens would need to get all ten points off the Punters to replace the Knights for a finals berth - the Punters and Fangs have locked up spots #1 and #2 for finals. If the Punters lose to the Kittens and Fangs beat the Test Eagles by large margins, it is likely that the Fangs will win the minor premiership, but the Punters are the favourites for the MP.

The Horrigan Cup looks the trickiest to assess in terms of who will make the finals. The Kittens have locked up the minor premiership. Given that the 5th placed Test Eagles have a far better quotient than the Knights and the fact that they're playing the 4th placed Fangs, the Knights aren't a real chance of making it despite being 3rd currently. The Brumbies are basically in, but need to beat the Somestars to get a home final.

    Representative Games:

    @NSW Country v %Asia
    %Victoria v %Britain (Provinical Championship)/%England (Rossleigh Trophy/PCDIY Cup)
    %Queensland v %NSW City
    %New Zealand v %Celtic Provinces (Rossleigh Trophy/PCDIY Cup)

Apart from NZ (who have the Bye anyway) there looks to be a pretty mad rush for the last two spots in the finals in the PC, so all games will be interesting to watch. Lots of things could happen, Victoria having the edge for once spot assuming they can knock off Britain, and the NSW City/Queensland game probably determining another spot unless it's a draw and Asia beat NSW Country. Asia probably need to rely on other results to qualify, fortunately for them NSW Country have been god awful this PC.

In the Rossleigh Trophy however all finals places are secure. If New Zealand beat the Celts and Victoria beat England however then Victoria will win the Minor Premiership. England's poor quotient means they can only finish 3rd.

If Victoria beat England in the PCDIY they secure themselves a spot in the finals. Otherwise, the Celts will qualify if they can knock off New Zealand. England have locked up the minor premiership. If Celtic Provinces and Victoria both win, New Zealand will miss out, but if New Zealand can pick up FIP, they will qualify instead of the Celts.

I genuinely think the next best spinner in their squad is probably Goat; there's not a lot of point calling up West really. Stevil Oval is a cunt of a place to try to play three express bowlers and a medium-fast bowler as an attack though, particularly with no real fifth bowler. Goat will get through a fair bit of bowling I imagine. Given the high medium pace assistance, it might have been a situation to play Nova in, but he's not been bowling very well lately in the longer form it'd be too clever by half. Just Blunder straight in for Frizzed with Goat having a long bowl seems the best option.

Fuck you Cribb, I just realised I don't get to play for NZ at all until playoffs.

I'd rather get to play this week so I can get injured for the semifinal and come back for the BS final :(

Can someone Quantify exactly how historical of a belting it will take for us to pass the Crusaders.

If you guys bat first you only need to get out for 213 runs and get the Stingrays out for 0 in both the first and follow on innings to make it :toot:

Manera a big loss, should still beat the Cyclones though.

Yeah, this seems the best bet. Not really a must win for us so the selection isn't crucial, so why not take the chance of a part-timer as 5th bowler.

    380 runs

Well you actually have a part-timer as fifth bowler every week. :p But Goat will have to bowl a lot more this week because he'll be the only spinner.
