    Is he any good?

How would his skill convert over to Rugby League?

    Is his defence any good?

He is a gun. Has all the skills to succeed in attack, can run, kick and pass, is excellent in broken play and the organisation of runners off the ruck as. As someone who watches both sports I think there’s a real lack of quality service from dummy half across the NRL and he will come in and show how useful it can be hitting flat spirals 15m+ from hooker. I know Walker (and Keary but obv injured) have played a fair bit of union so would expect them to gel quickly, plus Michalak and Cheika in the background would only help the transition.

Pretty physical for a scrum half but defence is obviously the biggest issue transitioning from making 5-10 to 40-50 tackles a game, wouldn’t be too worried about general playing fitness per se but that’s the biggest unknown IMO.

Only just read the Michalak thing. He was a gun. Was so good to watch.

Fuck yeah he was so entertaining during a period where a lot of the northern sides were pretty boring outside of Sullivan for the Poms.

I had to Google that, pretty cool he is coaching League here.

Shame this won't end up happening.

In the end he was concerned about not having a pre-season and only having 3 months to play which doesn't leave you long to settle in.

Would be interesting to see someone like the Dogs or have a crack at him given their current woes in the position he would be worth a punt.

Spewin. Reckon he might try next year?

This was an excellent swerve. TJ got a bit shit immediately after this situation. He isn't missed by the Hurricanes at all imo, as much as I love him as a player and a bloke.

Maybe league would have hidden a few of his weaknesses (unsure where you'd put a halfback with a shit pass but who can play like an extra loose forward in some ways) but his form nosedived after his injury.
