You never see any of this in AFL. Just proves we're a better competition tbh.

Interesting. Whether it has anything in it is a bigger question though.

AFL is one of the worst sports in Australia that is well known.

    whitetext0wned tbh.

Being a Victorian I believe it's the greatest sport in the world, but I'm still a big fan of RL. Don't know that much about it due to limited coverage though. Pretty interesting to see how this all turns out.

That's probably the view of alot of sports mad Victorians.

I'd often wondered if this was the case with a few Victorians, I believe more prime time coverage of Melbourne Storm over the last 4-5 years would've had a monumental impact on their fan base, especially given their on field success.

It'll never happen, the clubs wouldn't back it anyway.

Yeah, I agree. We've had amazing success and all it's generated is a bandwagon during finals time. As soon as we bottom out Storm will struggle. It's a problem. They want the Storm to be successful off-field, but without regular coverage it's not going to happen. This year C9 showed the Harry Potter movies, Lateline/News and some other random show all before the Storm game on Friday nights (when we played Friday), and didn't show the Sunday afternoon ones at all. If they were serious about making it work they'd show at least just the Storm games - especially now that they don't have the AFL broadcasting rights.

And after the Grand Final, they cut the coverage about 30 seconds after the final siren.
