The Shield is then up for grabs in any home Bannerman Shield game contested by the winner. 3. If you hold the Shield at the end of the Bannerman Shield season, you will hold it at the start of the next Bannerman Shield season. 4. The Shield IS up for grabs in home knockout matches. 5. If the team holding the Shield folds in the Bannerman Shield off season, then it will be available to win in the subsequent season's Care Cup. Seems like a cool little side thing. The funny thing is with this is that the spooners could end up holding it come the end of the season. If I understand it correctly.
Yep. It also means there could do something on the line at the end of the season for teams who are already out of the running for the Bannerman Shield and have already avoided the Spoon.
Yeah. Fair point, and it's never going to be taken as seriously as the Ranfurly Shield is taken in Kiwi Onion, but it's not difficult to impliment and it can only add to the competition, so I can't see the harm.
Yeah it definitely can't harm anything. Even if only 10 percent of people care about it, at least it is improving things for some people.
I really do like the idea, adds a little more to the competition, and for those who are sort of struggling a little bit, adds a bit of hope that they may actually be able to walk away with something.
Crusaders Ravens won the \_/ They held it until Rd 7, when the Stickies beat them. Stickies lost it in the very next round, when the Pumas beat them. Pumas held it until Rd 14, when the Crusaders beat them. Crusaders didn't play again, so they ended up with the Speirz Shield.
