Luffers is a Harlequins fan - his opinion on Evans should be discounted...

Not saying he's not class though

I know that's your point but it's a shit one. What does that mean? Nick Evans is an awesome player, not being better than him doesn't make you shit, you could be a very good international player and still be worse than Evans.

Like I said, if it wasn't for Dan Carter being a freak/injury problems/NZ eligibility rules Evans would have 70 caps.

I realise that, But this is Cricsim and having a heavily one sided opinion is very very common :p. Take a look in the English Football thread.

How old is Evans now? 32? Don't know if he'd make the England side now on age alone. I personally would rather have Farrell in the England setup all the way up to the WC - he's shown he's good enough and will only improve in 4 years.

31 I think. Well I would probably start Evans and have Farrell on the bench. Playing fly-half at that level is difficult and experience is always a benefit, he'd be a great guy to learn off for someone like Farrell who's a little bit more conservative.

TBF Evans was also the fastest member of the Kiwi squad back in the day. He isn't quite the same now but it's widely acknowledge that he's rapid and dangerous, I think if he was english he would be our fly half right now 100%.

    Cips > Evans

I definitely don't buy this. He's far too white.

Yeh it doesn't sound right, though I think this was before his major knee injury when he first broke into the NZ team in 2004. It doesn't necessarily mean he's the fastest guy on the pitch, but in a straight 100 perhaps.

Either way he is seriously rapid.

I reckon I could make a decent go of breaking a Cipriani tackle.

Acceleration-wise he was deceptively fast at times but he was never faster than guys like Howlett, Rokocoko etc.
