Given the way that half played out you'd have to think Penrith wouldn't be feeling too bad to only be down by 12. On the other hand Canberra's first try came off a bullshit call. Panthers don't even look like scoring to me. They need far more offloads. Lateral play especially on last tackle isn't working at all.
Penrith's end to sets over the last 2 weeks have been awful. They deserve to be booted out of the comp tonight on their finishes to sets alone.

Canberra just too strong through the middle in the end. Penrith struggled in attack on the slippery surface and their finishes to sets were just piss poor. No issues with running it on the last but when you're on the back foot and haven't earnt the right to you've gotta switch tact.
Few things. - I was incredibly nervous all week. But the opening exchanges sort of reminded me why we won 10 in a row. Soliola was fucking brutal and Canberra's forward pack just outplayed Penrith. - Should've been way further ahead early, so it was frustrating. I'm thinking the Moylan tackle on Rapana, The Leilua offload that was intercepted and a few half breaks that weren't capitalised on. - It's the first prelim we've made in 19 years and I was still angry. The 20-25 minutes of play from 18-0 to 18-12 was absolutely pathetic, It was arrogant and moronic. It's probably good that it happened because it gave them a scare and a kick up the arse but it deadset served the game on a silver platter to Penrith: The hail mary pass from Wighton that went 5 metres forward off a clean line break. Sezer making a clean linebreak and trying to force the offload under pressure. Attacking the shortside off a scrum mid field and running the ball out on the first tackle. Soliola with a horrible offload. Leilua with a horrible unforced offload error. It was horrible, horrible stuff. Those plays coming off are part of the beauty of the side. But FMD 18-0 up in a final you just grind your opponents into the ground, not have both hands on your cock whilst trying to put 40 on them. Melbourne should obviously be favourites. But I believe, our forwards fucking monstered them last time, hopefully they do so again.
