    I assume tiers are out of the question? Even if the lowest division winner gets to the finals (4-team finals with 3 from top division and 1 from bottom, for example?)

    One thing I was thinking about - do we still have the active member base for 9 teams next season?

    Given how long the off-season has been....it wouldn't surprise me if we're unable to get a lot of members back who have left the forum. And even if they do come back to sign contracts, is it guaranteed that they'll be active members? There are a few clubs who as it stands have big leadership vaccums.

    So what will happen if there isn't enough demand for 9 teams in Season 13?

    I don't think it's likely or even within the realm of possibility. But perhaps allowing people to (optionally) retire and have a new registration would boost activity a fair bit imo.

    Fresh start for a possible season 13.

    I think if there is regular simming then you will get enough activity for 9 teams.

    Retirements probably should have happened a few seasons ago but seem to be off the table.

    With all due respect to them, the Cyclones don't look like they'll be worthwhile at this point. We already renamed what was Cyclones FC because it was missing most of the original Cyclones userbase, and they literally have like one active person.

    Even if there is scope for the same number of teams, you'd imagine it'd make more sense to replace them with a new team with new history or an old team with rekindled history, rather than keep them without most of those who are a part of what the name represents.
